Abstract

Facing Qibla is one of the requirements of allowed prayer. Getting the correct qibla direction, which actually it faces the direction of the Ka'ba (Haram) is an obligation for every Muslim in the prayers shalat. Not only the measurement method of qibla direction but also the result of it have been diverse to date. In this case Slamet Hambali create an aid tool of measurement of Qibla direction, Istiwaaini Slamet Hambali working like theodolite system.
In collecting data, researcher used the experimental technique observing the location, Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah, over and over to determine the suitability of the result of measuring qibla direction by Istiwaaini using the Qibla direction of Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah which is very accurate. While in the analysis technique, researcher used inductive analysis technique.
The Research results are as follows:
The first test did on Sunday kliwon, July 20, 2014 at 10:06:37 am WIB, the calculated result obtained a different azimuth (ba) = 254˚ 00 '08,56 ". The result of measurement by Istiwaaini has the same result as the Qibla direction, Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
The second test did on Sunday kliwon, July 20, 2014 at 11:47:34 am WIB, the calculated result obtained different azimuth (ba) = 296˚ 00 '16.92 ", The result of measurement by Istiwaaini has the same result as the Qibla direction, Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
The third test did on Monday Pahing, August 11, 2014 at 10:22:14 am WIB, the calculated result obtained different azimuth (ba) = 252˚30 '09.19 ", The result of measurement by Istiwaaini has the same result as the Qibla direction, Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
The fourth test did on Tuesday Pon, August 12, 2014 at 10:12:45 am WIB, the calculated result obtained different azimuth (ba) = 248˚ 59 '56.15 ", The result of measurement by Istiwaaini has the same result as the Qibla direction, Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
The fifth test did on Wednesday Wage, August 13, 2014 at 10:16:59 am WIB, the calculated result obtained different azimuth (ba) = 249˚ 59 '37.5 ", The result of measurement by Istiwaaini has the same result as the Qibla direction, Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
The sixth test did on Wednesday Wage, August 13, 2014 at 11:45:50 am WIB, the calculated result obtained different azimuth (ba) = 296˚ 15 '02.71 ", The result of measurement by Istiwaaini has the same result as the Qibla direction, Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
The test results above show that the result of measuring the Qibla direction by Istiwaaini Slamet Hambali is accurate.

ABSTRAK:

Menghadap ke arah kiblat adalah merupakan salah satu syarat sahnya salat. Mendapatkan arah kiblat yang benar, yaitu benar-benar ke arah Kakbah (Masjidil Haram) adalah kewajiban bagi setiap muslim yang menjalankan salat. Metode pengukuran arah kiblat sampai saat ini bermacam-macam, hasilnyapun bermacam-macam pula. Dalam hal ini Slamet Hambali menciptakan alat bantu pengukuran arah kiblat dengan nama Istiwaaini Slamet Hambali menggunakan sistem kerja yang tidak berbeda dengan sistem theodolite.
Dalam pengumpulan data peneliti menggunakan teknik eksperimen dengan melakukan observasi lapangan secara berulang-ulang dengan mengambil lokasi Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah untuk mengetahui kecocokan hasil pengukuran arah kiblat menggunakan Istiwaaini dengan arah kiblat Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah yang arah kiblatnya sangat akurat. Sedangkan dalam teknik analisis peneliti menggunakan teknik induktif analisis.
Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah sebagai berikut:
Pengujian pertama dilaksanakan hari Ahad Kliwon, 20 Juli 2014 pukul 10:06:37 WIB, hasil perhitungan diperoleh beda azimuth (ba) = 254 00’ 08,56”, hasil pengukuran menggunakan Istiwaaini sama dengan arah kiblat Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
Pengujian kedua dilaksanakan hari Ahad Kliwon, 20 Juli 2014 pukul 11:47:34 WIB, hasil perhitungan diperoleh beda azimuth (ba) = 296 00’ 16,92”, hasil pengukuran menggunakan Istiwaaini sama dengan arah kiblat Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
Pengujian ketiga dilaksanakan hari Senin Pahing, 11 Agustus 2014 pukul 10:22:14 WIB, hasil perhitungan diperoleh beda azimuth (ba) = 252 30’ 09,19”, hasil pengukuran menggunakan Istiwaaini sama dengan arah kiblat Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
Pengujian keempat dilaksanakan hari Selasa Pon, 12 Agustus 2014 pukul 10:12:45 WIB, hasil perhitungan diperoleh beda azimuth (ba) = 248 59’ 56,15”, hasil pengukuran menggunakan Istiwaaini sama dengan arah kiblat Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
Pengujian kelima dilaksanakan hari Rabu Wage, 13 Agustus 2014 pukul 10:16:59 WIB, hasil perhitungan diperoleh beda azimuth (ba) = 249 59’ 37,5”, hasil pengukuran menggunakan Istiwaaini sama dengan arah kiblat Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
Pengujian keenam dilaksanakan hari Rabu Wage, 13 Agustus 2014 pukul 11:45:50 WIB, hasil perhitungan diperoleh beda azimuth (ba) = 296 15’ 02,71”, hasil pengukuran menggunakan Istiwaaini sama dengan arah kiblat Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
Dari enam kali pengujian dapat ditarik sebuah kesimpulan bahwa hasil pengukuran arah kiblat menggunakan Istiwaaini Slamet Hambali adalah akurat.
