This research is based on the difference phenomenon in applying teaching Islam for Chinese Muslim and kinds of religion in this world effects the unique phenomenon of religion conversion. This research is qualitative research by phenomenological approach to know the general meaning of object from their individual experience life through teaching Islamic education by PITI. The data collection in this research are observation, interview and documentation.
This research is to answer the problems of general illustration in teaching Islam, method of using and factors of obstacles of teaching Islamic education in PITI Semarang. The purpose of this research are describing and analyzing general illustration of Islamic education, method of using and factor of obstacles and support the implementation of Islamic education for the Chinese Muslim in PITI Semarang.
This research shows that general illustration about teaching Islam for the people Chinese Muslim in PITI Semarang is using approach across age. Subject materials being used are Aqidah lesson, writing and reading the Qur’an along with religion discussions. Therefore, those materials couldn’t stand by itself but by integration with other knowledge. The method used is speech or communication, consultation and discussion. The supporting Factors re the first is ethnic, second, joining as the member of PITI, facilities. The last, factor of obstacles are about the intimidation from outside to the people of recent convert to Islam of Chinese and because of being busy for business of each individuals.
