Abstract

Latar Belakang: Indonesia mengalami permasalahan gizi, terutama status gizi lebih pada remaja. Remaja dengan status gizi lebih terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Meningkatnya angka gizi lebih pada remaja disebabkan oleh tingginya konsumsi junk food di kalangan remaja, selain itu konsumsi makanan berserat menunjukkan angka yang rendah. Faktor yang menjadi peran dalam kebiasaan konsumsi makanan remaja adalah pengetahuan gizi remaja.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi, kebiasaan konsumsi junk food, dan makanan berserat terhadap status gizi Siswa SMA N 1 Salaman.
Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional, populasi adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA, dengan sampel 65 siswa, yang diambil menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner, FFQ semi kuantitatif, timbangan badan, dan microtoise. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi Gamma.
Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan 90,8% responden berstatus gizi baik, 81,5% responden memiliki pengetahuan yang baik, konsumsi junk food tergolong sering sebanyak 47,7%, dan 36,9% responden telah memenuhi kebutuhan serat. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan hubungan pengetahuan gizi dengan status gizi (p=0,939), hubungan konsumsi junk food dengan status gizi (p=0,007), serta hubungan konsumsi makanan berserat dengan status gizi (p=0,010).
Kesimpulan: Adapun hasil penelitian menujukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang sigifikan antara pengetahuan gizi dengan status gizi, namun terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan konsumsi junk food dengan status gizi, serta konsumsi makanan berserat dengan status gizi.

ABSTRACT

Background: Indonesia have nutritional problems, especially the nutritional status of adolescents. Adolescents with more nutritional status continue to increase from year to year. The increasing number of overnutrition in adolescents is caused by the high consumption of junk food among adolescents, besides that the consumption of fiber foods shows a low number. Factors that play a role in adolescent food consumption habits are adolescent nutritional knowledge.
Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional knowledge, consumption habits of junk food, and fiber foods on the nutritional status of SMA N 1 Salaman students.
Methods: The design of this study was cross sectional, the population was students of class XI MIPA, with a sample of 65 students, which were taken using a consecutive sampling technique. The research instruments were questionnaires, semi-quantitative FFQ, scales, and microtoise. Statistical analysis used is Gamma correlation test.
Results: The study showed that 90.8% of respondents had good nutritional status, 81.5% of respondents had good knowledge, 47.7% of junk food consumption was quite frequent, and 36.9% of respondents had fulfilled their fiber needs. The results of statistical tests showed the relationship between nutritional knowledge and nutritional status (p = 0.939), the relationship between junk food consumption and nutritional status (p = 0.007), and the relationship between fiber food consumption and nutritional status (p = 0.010).
Conclusion: The results of the study show that there is no significant relationship between nutritional knowledge and nutritional status, but there is a significant relationship between junk food consumption habits and nutritional status, as well as consumption of fibrous foods with nutritional status.
