Abstract

Pengukuran arah kiblat sangat penting dilakukan terutama bagi suatu wilayah yang jauh dari bangunan ka’bah. Perkembangan teknologi memberikan kemudahan untuk melakukan pengukuran arah kiblat.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui perancangan alat ukur arah kiblat dengan metode azimut bayangan matahari otomatis. (2) Mengetahui prinsip kerja dan akurasi alat ukur arah kiblat dengan metode azimut bayangan matahari otomatis.
Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskripti analitis dan komparatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Alat ukur arah kiblat terbuat dari bahan akrilik yang dilengkapi dengan mikrokontroler arduino, sensor GPS dan komponen elektronik pendukung lainnya. (2) Prinsip kerja alat ukur kiblat dengan metode azimut bayangan matahari otomatis bergantung pada kenampakan bayangan matahari dan sensor GPS yang menjadi sumber utama perhitungan azimut kiblat beserta azimut bayangan matahari otomatis. Berdasarkan pengujian pengukuran diproleh hasil selisih tertinggi 0°19’53,3”. Menurut analisis fiqih, pendapat toleransi arah kiblat yang diperkenankan paling sedikit adalah 0°24’53,3”. Hasil pengukuran ini masih tergolong akurat karena masih di bawah nilai batas toleransi.

ABSTRACT:
The measurement of the Qibla direction is very important, especially for an area that is far from the Kaaba building. Technological developments make it easy to measure the Qibla direction.
This study aims to: (1) determine the design of the Qibla direction measuring instrument with the automatic sun shadow azimuth method. (2) Knowing the working principle and accuracy of the Qibla direction measuring instrument with the automatic sun shadow azimuth method.
This research is a type of research development or Research and Development. The data analysis technique used analytical and comparative descriptions.
The results showed that: (1) The Qibla direction measuring instrument is made of acrylic material which is equipped with an Arduino microcontroller, GPS sensor and other supporting electronic components. (2) The working principle of the Qibla measuring instrument with the automatic sun shadow azimuth method depends on the appearance of the sun's shadow and the GPS sensor which is the main source of calculating the Qibla azimuth along with the automatic sun shadow azimuth. Based on the measurement test, the highest difference is 0°19'53.3". According to fiqh analysis, the opinion of the tolerance for the direction of the Qibla that is allowed is at least 0°24'53,3". The measurement results are still classified as accurate because they are still below the tolerance limit value.
