Eksistensi Al-Qur’ân dewasa ini tidak hanya menjadi fokus perhatian oleh umat muslim. Akademisi Barat juga andil untuk memberikan kontribusi terhadap studi Al-Qur’ân. Meski tidak sedikit yang memberikan penilaian negatif terhadap Al-Qur’ân salah satunya adalah Nicolai Sinai yang mencoba untuk melakukan reinterpretasi terhadap surat al-Najm. Meski tuduhan-tuduhan yang di layangkan terhadap surat tersebut telah selesai di tangan oleh ulama muslim, tidak menjadikan nya berhenti untuk meneliti validitas susunan Al-Qur’ân. Nicolai Sinai adalah salah satu Orientalis yang mencoba untuk memberikan padangan baru terhadap surat al-Najm, dengan hasil penelitian bahwa terdapat beberapa ayat yang menurutnya tidak termasuk dalam bagian surat al-Najm sehingga jika di hilangkan ayat-ayat tersebut tidak menjadi masalah. Hal ini tentu tidak sesuai dengan keyakinan umat muslim. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada peneliti akan merumuskan tiga masalah sebagai merespon 1) Bagaimanakah Kritik Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA) terhadap penafsiran Nicolai Siani dalam surat al-Najm? 2) Bagaimanakah prinsip Semitic Rhetoric dalam Surah al-Najm? 3) Apakah Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis Relevan untuk menganalisis struktur surat al-Najm? Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pustaka (library research). Adapun sumber data primer yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literatur berupa buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA) dan Jurnal yang ditulis oleh Nicolai Sinai. Sedangkan data sekunder peneliti dapatkan dari buku, jurnal, yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. Hal ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menemukan kritik Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA) terhadap interpertasi Nicolai Sinai dengan mengunakan metode deskriptif analitik, yaitu penyelidikan dengan mengambarkan keadaan subjek dan objek penelitian. Dan dengan menjelaskan semua yang berkaitan dengan interpertasi Sinai, melalui kacamata Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA). Setelah dilakukan penelitian tesis ini membuktikan bahwa surat al-Najm tersusun secara sistematis dan tidak ada ayat-ayat yang harus disingkirkan, dan metode Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA) dapat diterapkan untuk menganalisis struktur Al-Qur’ân surat al-Najm, Meski metode ini tidak memberikan hasil yang absolut. Usaha ini bertujuan untuk menyadarkan kembali para membaca al-Qur’ân bahwa otentitas Al-Qur’ân tidak dapat dielakkan lagi, sehingga tidak memberikan pihak manapun untuk dapat mereduksi isi dan susunan Al-Qur’ân. sekaligus sebagai kritik atas Nicolai Sinai.

ABSTRACT:
The existence of the Qur'ân today is not only the focus of attention by Muslims. Western academics also contributed to the study of the Qur'ân. Although not a few who gave negative assessments of the Qur'ân, one of them was Nicolai Sinai who tried to reinterpret the surat al-Najm. Although the accusations made against the letter have been completed in the hands of muslim clerics, it does not make them stop to research the validity of the Qur'ân. Nicolai Sinai was one of the Orientalists who tried to give a new lease to surat al-Najm, with the result of research that in there are some verses that according to him are not included in the surah al-Najm section so that if they are eliminated the verses do not become a problem. This is certainly not in accordance with the beliefs of Muslims. Based on the existing problems, the researcher will formulate three problems in response to 1) What is the Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA) Critique of Nicolai Siani's interpretation in surat al-Najm? 2) What is the Semitic Rhetoric principle in Surah al-Najm? 3) Is the Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis Relevant for analyzing the structure of surat al-Najm? This research is a library research. The primary data sources used in this study are literature in the form of books related to Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA) and Journals written by Nicolai Sinai. Meanwhile, secondary data researchers get from books, journals, which are related to research. This was done with the aim of finding a Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA) critique of Nicolai Sinai's interpertation by using an analytical descriptive method, namely an investigation by describing the state of the subject and the object of study. And by explaining everything related to sinai interpertation, with analytical methods to discuss it in the lens of Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA). After conducting research this thesis proved that surat al-Najm is systematically composed and there are no verses to be removed, and the Semitic Rhetorical Analaysis (SRA) method can be applied to analyze the structure of the Qur'ân surat al-Najm, as well as as a criticism of Nicolai Sinai. Although this method does not give absolute results. This effort aims to resuscitate the readings of the Qur'ân that the authenticity of the Qur'ân is inevitable, so as not to give any party to be able to reduce the content and composition of the Qur'ân.
