Abstract

Kampung Jamu adalah salah satu kampung para penjual jamu gendong di wilayah Mijen, Semarang. Masyarakat Kelurahan Wonolopo banyak yang bercocok tanam. Karena didukung tanah yang subur dan pengairan yang lancar. Potensi alam yang terdapat pada Kelurahan Wonolopo juga masih lestari dan terjaga. Partisipasi masyarakat tinggi dalam usaha memproduksi jamu hal ini terbukti bahwa produsen jamu di kampung jamu Wonolopo di lakukan oleh masyarakat setempat. Kampung jamu menjadi salah satu sumber penopang perekonomian masyarakat yang dulunya hanya berprofesi sebagai buruh tani dan kemudian beralih menjadi produsen jamu. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, peneliti merumuskan masalah penelitian ini terdiri dari faktor apa yang menyebabkan perubahan sosial ekonomi dan bagaimana perubahan sosial ekonomi masyarakat Wonolopo sesudah adanya kampung jamu.
Peneliti melakukan penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Kajian penelitian ini menggunakan dasar teori perubahan sosial Herbert Spencer. Faktor yang menyebababkan warga masyarakat Kelurahan Wonolopo mengalami perubahan sosial dibidang ekonomi antara lain: bertambah atau berkurangnya penduduk, penemuan baru, teknologi, pendidikan, kebudayaan dari luar dan modernisasi. Dengan adanya faktor-faktor tersebut warga masyarakat Kelurahan Wonolopo mengalami perubahan sosial terutama di bidang sosial ekonomi melalui adanya kampung jamu. Masyarakat kampung jamu Kelurahan Wonolopo sebelum dinobatkan sebagai kampung tematik warga masyarakatnya berprofesi sebagai buruh tani, yang mana penghasilan mereka hanya cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Setelah dinobatkan sebagai kampung tematik warga masyarakat banyak yang beralih profesi sebagai produsen dan penjual jamu. Produsen dan penjual jamu menjadi salah satu penopang bagi kemajuan ekonomi warga masyarakat kampung jamu tersebut. Dengan menekuni kegiatan memproduksi jamu dan menjualnya dapat memajukan perekonomian mereka.

ABSTRACT:
Kampung Jamu is one of the villages for jamu gendong sellers in the Mijen area, Semarang. Many people in Wonolopo Village grow crops. Because it is supported by fertile soil and smooth watering. The natural potential contained in Wonolopo Village is also still sustainable and maintained. High community participation in the business of producing herbal medicine, it is proven that herbal medicine producers in the Wonolopo herbal medicine village are carried out by the local community. The herbal medicine village became one of the sources of supporting the economy of the community who used to only work as farm laborers and then turned into herbal medicine producers. Based on this background, the researcher formulated this research problem consisting of what factors caused socioeconomic changes and how the socioeconomic changes of the Wonolopo community after the existence of the herbal medicine village.
Researchers conducted this research using a qualitative type of research using a descriptive approach. This research study uses the theoretical basis of Herbert Spencer's social change. Factors that cause the residents of Wonolopo Village to experience social changes in the economic field include: increasing or decreasing population, new discoveries, technology, education, culture from outside and modernization. With these factors, the residents of Wonolopo Village have experienced social changes, especially in the socio-economic sector through the existence of herbal medicine villages. The people of the herbal village of Wonolopo Village before being named as a thematic village of their residents worked as farm laborers, where their income was only enough to meet their daily needs. After being named as a thematic village, many community members have changed their professions as producers and sellers of herbal medicine. Herbal medicine producers and sellers are one of the pillars for the economic progress of the residents of the herbal medicine village community. By pursuing the activity of producing herbs and selling them, they can advance their economy.
