Abstract
Penelitian ini di latar belakangi suatu permasalahan yang berkenaan dengan pengaruh self-efficacy dan persepsi mahasiswa pada kompetensi dosen pembimbing terhadap pennyelesaian skripsi mahasiswa PAI UIN Walisongo Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap penyelesaian skripsi mahasiswa PAI UIN Walisongo Semarang, 2) pengaruh persepsi mahasiswa pada kompetensi dosen pembimbing terhadap penyelesaian skripsi mahasiswa PAI UIN Walisongo Semarang, dan 3) self-efficacy dan persepsi mahasiswa pada kompetensi dosen pembimbing terhadap penyelesaian skripsi mahasiswa PAI UIN Walisongo Semarang.
Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kuantitatif regresi berganda. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 150 mahasiswa yang terdiri atas mahasiswa yang sudah melaksanakan wisuda periode Agustus 2023- Februari 2024. Peneliti menggunakan tabel Isaac & Michael untuk menentukan jumlah sampel, dan berdasarkan tabel tersebut diperoleh sampel sebanyak 105 mahasiswa dengan sumber data berasal dari angket melalui google form dan dokumentasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1. Terdapat Pengaruh positif dan signifikan self-efficacy terhadap penyelesaian skripsi mahasiswa PAI UIN Walisongo. Hasil data menunjukkan sig. (2-tailed) 0,001<0,05 yang berarti hipotesis diterima (signifikan). 2. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan persepsi mahasiswa pada kompetensi dosen pembimbing terhadap penyelesaian skripsi mahasiswa PAI UIN Walisongo. Hasil data menunjukkan sig. (2-tailed) 0,001<0,05 yang berarti hipotesis diterima (signifikan). 3. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan self-efficacy dan persepsi mahasiswa pada kompetensi dosen pembimbing secara simultan terhadap penyelesaian skripsi mahasiswa PAI UIN Walisongo. Hal tersebut berdasarkan hasil perhitungan regresi ganda yang menunjukkan sig. (2-tailed) 0,001<0,05, yang berarti hipotesis diterima (signifikan). Artinya, makin tinggi self-efficacy dan persepsi mahasiswa pada kompetensi dosen pembimbing maka akan semakin baik penyelesaian skripsi mahasiswa PAI UIN Walisongo.
ABSTRACT:
This study is motivated by issues related to the influence of self-efficacy and students' perceptions of the competence of academic advisors on the completion of undergraduate theses by PAI students at UIN Walisongo Semarang. The research aims to examine: 1) the effect of self-efficacy on the completion of theses by PAI students at UIN Walisongo Semarang, 2) the effect of students' perceptions of academic advisors' competence on thesis completion, and 3) the combined influence of self-efficacy and students' perceptions of academic advisors' competence on thesis completion among PAI students at UIN Walisongo Semarang.
This study employs a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis. The population consists of 150 students who graduated between August 2023 and February 2024. The researcher used the Isaac & Michael table to determine the sample size, resulting in 105 students as the sample. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed via Google Forms and through documentation.
The findings of the study are as follows: 1) There is a positive and significant influence of self-efficacy on thesis completion among PAI students at UIN Walisongo. The data analysis showed a significance value of sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that the hypothesis is accepted (significant). 2)There is a positive and significant influence of students' perceptions of academic advisors' competence on thesis completion. The data analysis showed a significance value of sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that the hypothesis is accepted (significant). 3)There is a positive and significant simultaneous influence of self-efficacy and students' perceptions of academic advisors' competence on thesis completion. This is based on the results of multiple regression calculations, which showed a significance value of sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that the hypothesis is accepted (significant). These findings indicate that higher self-efficacy and positive perceptions of academic advisors' competence lead to better thesis completion among PAI students at UIN Walisongo.
