Fenomena adanya perbedaan gagasan yang berkaitan dengan konsep fajar ṣādiq di Indonesia menjadi inspirasi penulis dalam menganalisis dan mempertimbangkan konsep fajar ṣādiq melalui berbagai indikator. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memahami fajar ṣādiq menurut tafsir Al-Qurṭubī karya Abu ‘Abdullah Al-Qurtubi serta penerapan fajar ṣādiq menurut Al-Qurtubi dalam perspektif astronomi. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitattif dengan telaah kajian pustaka (library research). Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tafsir Al-Qurṭubī karya Abu ‘Abdullah Al-Qurtubi sebagai sumber data primer dan kitab serta artikel yang relevan sebagai sumber data sekunder dengan metode pengumpulan data membaca tafsir al-jami’ li Ahkam Al-qur’an Wa alMubin Lima Tadammanhu Min al-Sunnah Wa Ai al-Furqan karya Abu ‘Abdullah Al-Qurtubi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa menurut Abu ‘Abdullah AlQurtubi, fajar ṣādiq merupakan fenomena cahaya yang menyebar secara horizontal di ufuk timur sebagai pertanda awal waktu Subuh dan akhir waktu sahur. Adapun secara astronomi, fajar sadiq atau fajar nautikal terjadi ketika matahari berada 18 – 12 derajat di bawah ufuk. Cahaya fajar ṣādiq yang menyebar secara horizontal, membuktikan ketelitian pengamatan yang selaras dengan konsep astronomis. Di kehidupan modern, penerapan konsep ini diukur dengan perangkat SQM (Sky Quality Meter) atau teknologi komputer untuk menghitung posisi mataharai sesuai koordinat geografis. kontribusi Al-Qurtubi memberikan dasar syar’i yang mendukung keabsahan penentuan waktu berdasarkan fenomena astronomi.

ABSTRACT:
The phenomenon of differences in ideas related to the concept of fajar ṣādiq in Indonesia inspired the author to analyze and consider the concept of fajar ṣādiq through various indicators. The purpose of this study is to understand fajar ṣādiq according to the interpretation of AlQurṭubī by Abu 'Abdullah Al-Qurtubi and the application of fajar ṣādiq according to Al-Qurtubi in the perspective of astronomy. This type of research is qualitative research with a literature review (library research). The data sources in this research are the tafsir Al-Qurṭubī by Abu 'Abdullah Al-Qurtubi as the primary data source and relevant books and articles as secondary data sources with the data collection method reading the tafsir al-jami' li Ahkam Al-Qur'an Wa al-Mubin Lima Tadammanhu Min al-Sunnah Wa Ai al-Furqan by Abu 'Abdullah Al-Qurtubi. The results of the study stated that according to Abu 'Abdullah AlQurtubi, the ṣādiq dawn is a phenomenon of light that spreads horizontally on the eastern horizon as a sign of the beginning of Subuh time and the end of sahur time. Astronomically, the sadiq dawn or nautical dawn occurs when the sun is 18 - 12 degrees below the horizon. The horizontally spreading light of the ṣādiq dawn proves the accuracy of observations that are in line with astronomical concepts. In modern life, the application of this concept is measured by a sextant device or computer technology to calculate the position of the sun according to geographical coordinates. This, Al-Qurtubi's contribution provides a sharia basis that supports the validity of determining time based on astronomical phenomena.
