Kalender Wariga Sereat Adat Bayan merupakan penanggalan tradisi yang masih eksis digunakan di Desa Bayan, Kecamatan Bayan Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Kalender Wariga Sereat Adat Bayan dijadikan sebagai penanda waktu , acuan dalam penentuan tanggal ritual adat, serta sebagai acuan dalam penentuan awal bulan hijriyah. Beberapa permasalahan yang akan dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengapa Masyarakat Desa Adat Bayan tetap mempertahankan sistem khurup Ajumgi dalam metode penentuan awal bulan Hijriyah? (2) Bagaimana analisis sistem penanggalan kalender Wariga Sereat Adat Bayan perspektif fikih dan astronomi? Permasalahan tersebut dijawab melalui penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Data penelitian diperoleh melalui studi dokumentasi dan wawancara. Kemudian semua data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis dengan pendekatan multidisipliner dengan menggunakan teknis analisis deskriptif kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Masyarakat Desa Adat Bayan tetap mempertahankan sistem khurup Ajumgi dalam metode penentuan awal bulan Hijriyah sebagai cara menghormati leluhur dan mempertahankan adat istiadat serta ajaran yang telah diturunkan secara turun temurun oleh leluhur/nenek moyang mereka (2) Secara fikih sistem penanggalan Wariga Sereat Adat Bayan tidak dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam penentuan pelaksanaan ibadah bagi umat Islam. Secara astronomi dengan mundurnya 4 hingga 5 hari penentuan awal bulan dalam kalender Wariga Sereat Adat Bayan dari penanggalan hijriyah bulan yang terlihat sudah tidak bisa dikatakan sebagai hilal karena fisis Bulannya sudah membesar, meninggi dan semakin jelas untuk dilihat.

ABSTRACT:
The Bayan Traditional Wariga Sereat Calendar is a traditional calendar that is still used in Bayan Village, Bayan District, North Lombok Regency. The Wariga Sereat Adat Bayan Calendar is used as a time marker, a reference in determining the date of traditional rituals, and as a reference in determining the beginning of the lunar month. Some of the problems to be studied in this research are (1) Why does the Bayan Traditional Village Community still maintain the khurup Ajumgi system in the method of determining the beginning of the Hijriyah month? (2) How is the analysis of the calendar system of Wariga Sereat Adat Bayan from the perspective of fiqh and astronomy? These problems are answered through library research. The research data is obtained through documentation studies and interviews. Then all data obtained will be analyzed with a multidisciplinary approach using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques.
The results of this study indicate that (1) The Bayan Traditional Village community still maintains the khurup Ajumgi system in the method of determining the beginning of the Hijriyah month as a way of honoring ancestors and maintaining customs and teachings that have been passed down from generation to generation by their ancestors. (2) In fiqh, the Wariga Sereat Adat Bayan calendar system is not appropriate to be used as a reference in determining the implementation of worship for Muslims. Astronomically, with the delay of 4 to 5 days in determining the beginning of the month in the Wariga Sereat Adat Bayan calendar from the hijriyah calendar, the visible moon cannot be said to be hilal because the physical moon has enlarged, increased and is clearer to see.
