Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kelekatan orang tua dan self-monitoring terhadap kemampuan sosial di lingkungan sekolah pada siswa SMP Negeri 2 Demak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 2 Demak, dengan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 100 siswa (n = 100) yang berusia antara 12 sampai 15 tahun. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan non probability sampling dengan metode quota sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS 27 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh signifikan kelekatan orang tua terhadap kemampuan sosial (p = 0.000, β = 0,618), 2) tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan self-monitoring terhadap kemampuan sosial (p = 0.075, β = 0,300), dan 3) secara simultan, kelekatan orang tua dan self-monitoring berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan sosial (p = 0.000, R² = 0,272). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kelekatan orang tua memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar terhadap kemampuan sosial dibandingkan self-monitoring. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya peran orang tua dalam mendukung pengembangan kemampuan sosial anak melalui hubungan yang lekat dan positif. Selain itu, sekolah diharapkan dapat memfasilitasi pengembangan self-monitoring siswa melalui kegiatan pembelajaran yang melibatkan interaksi sosial aktif. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mempertimbangkan faktor lain, seperti kepribadian dan lingkungan sosial, yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan sosial.

ABSTRACT:
This research aims to examine the influence of parental attachment and self-monitoring on social skills in the school environment for students at SMP Negeri 2 Demak. This research uses a quantitative correlation approach. The population in this study were all students at SMP Negeri 2 Demak, with a sample taken of 100 students (n = 100) aged between 12 and 15 years. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling with the quota sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 27 for Windows. The research results show that: 1) there is a significant influence of parental attachment on social abilities (p = 0.000, β = 0.618), 2) there is no significant influence of self-monitoring on social abilities (p = 0.075, β = 0.300), and 3) simultaneously, parental attachment and self-monitoring have a significant effect on social abilities (p = 0.000, R² = 0.272). These findings indicate that parental attachment has a greater influence on social abilities than self-monitoring. The practical implications of this research show the important role of parents in supporting the development of children's social skills through close and positive relationships. In addition, schools are expected to facilitate the development of student self-monitoring through learning activities that involve active social interaction. Future research is recommended to consider other factors, such as personality and social environment, which can influence social abilities.
