This research aims to explain gender differences in communication styles and strategies among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students. It employed a qualitative descriptive research design. The participants of this study were fifth-semester English education students at UIN Walisongo, consisting of 10 participants (5 male and 5 female EFL students). Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The study identified three main points related to gender differences in communication styles and strategies in the EFL context at UIN Walisongo Semarang. First, male EFL students tend to use a direct and efficient communication style, while female students exhibit more structured and systematic speech. Second, male students tend to learn through digital media with high confidence, whereas female students are more deliberate in preparing their communication style and use a variety of strategies to enhance their language skills. Third, the findings highlight the importance of teaching approaches that consider gender differences providing support to boost female students' confidence and encouraging male students to pay more attention to the formal aspects of language, to foster an inclusive learning environment.
