Penelitian ini mengkaji politik pencitraan Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) dalam kerangka reifikasi, dengan fokus pada pelembagaan partai di Kabupaten Kendal pasca kemenangannya pada Pemilu 2024. Studi ini menganalisis bagaimana PKB membangun citra sebagai “Partai NU”, “Partai Kyai”, “Partai Pesantren”, dan “Partai Modern” yang inklusif, terutama bagi pemuda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode study kasus untuk menganalisis fenomena kontemporer dalam konteks kehidupan di masyarakat dengan fokus pada proses reification (pencitraan) politik dalam institusionalisasi PKB yang terkait erat dengan konteks sosio-kultural masyarakat Kendal yang bernuansa keislaman kuat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PKB menginstitusionalisasikan citra melalui empat pilar utama: (1) identitas sebagai partai yang memiliki hubungan emosional dengan Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), (2) representasi sebagai partainya kyai, (3) basis pesantren, dan (4) transformasi menuju partai modern. Di antara keempat citra tersebut, identitas sebagai “Partai NU” dan dukungan kyai kharismatik menjadi faktor dominan dalam mobilisasi massa. Peran kyai sebagai figur yang berpengaruh berhasil menciptakan loyalitas politik di kalangan masyarakat, sekaligus memperkuat legitimasi PKB. Kombinasi antara strategi reifikasi berbasis tradisi dan modernitas ini menjadikan PKB mencapai dominasi di lembaga legislatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa reifikasi pencitraan berbasis nilai kultural dan figur kharismatik merupakan kunci keberhasilan institusionalisasi PKB di Kendal.
 
ABSTRACT

This research examines the phenomenon of the victory of the Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) in the 2024 election in the aspect of party institutionalization that focuses on the reification of the political image of the Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) in Kendal Regency. Which was formed through identities such as “Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Party”, “Kyai Party”, “Islamic Boarding School Party” and “Modern Party, open especially to the youth”. This reification is closely related to the socio-cultural environment of the people of Kendal Regency, which is strong in Islamic values. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to analyze contemporary phenomena in the context of life in society with a focus on the process of political reification (imagination) in the institutionalization of the PKB. The research results show that the PKB built an image model based on the four main pillars of political power in Kendal district, is the image of the NU party, which has a strong emotional connection with the mass organization Nahdlatul Ulama, the kyai party, the boarding school based Islamic party, and is beginning to transform into an inclusive modern party. Of the four images, the image of the party supported by the charismatic kyai in Kendal Regency and the image of the NU party stand out as the most dominant. The charismatic kyai in Kendal Regency play an important role in mobilizing the masses who are respected and followed by the people of Kendal. By carrying out the reification model using the charisma of the kyai in Kendal district as strong and influential figures, the PKB has managed to grow rapidly and take the lead in the legislative.
