Memory as an important role in learning is closely related to the ability to remember, understand, and apply learning materials. Teachers can improve students' memory ability through interesting learning. One of the strategies that can be pursued is implementing learning with the help of learning media in the form of Google Classroom based on quiz assignments.
Low student memory is caused by the loss of the ability to recall information that has been known because of uninteresting and monotonous learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Google Classroom learning media based on quiz assignments to improve student memory. This research approach is quantitative in the form of a quasi-experiment. The data collected was obtained using the Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample of the experimental class is X Ibnu Khaldun, with a total of 21 students, while the control class is X Ibnu Sina, with a total of 19 students. The data analysis technique was carried out through the independent sample t-test test regarding the difference between the posttest and pretest results of the experimental and control classes. The study results showed that the tcount value was 5.651 while the ttable was 2.024. This means that tcount > ttable (5.651 > 2.024). The P value [Sig (2-tailed)] is 0.000 with a significance level of 0.05. Then, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, while the zero hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Thus, the Google classroom learning tool based on the quiz assignment effectively improves students' memory of dzikir and prayer subjects in class X of Al-Azhar 16 Selmarang Islamic High School.
