Simple life makes one's life unencumbered by the presence of items that do not serve their function well. Living in the millennial era is a life where every human being is able to access information quickly and make it easy to imitate things that are trending on social media without paying attention to the aspect of one's income. This study aims to understand the concept of Simple life in al-Marāghi's interpretation and relate its relevance to today's conditions, which is the rise of a consumptive culture in society. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a library research approach. This study uses al-Marāghi's interpretation as its primary reference source. Additional supporting data sources were obtained from other literature, including journals, other tafsir books, books, theses, and other supporting sources related to simple life. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive-analytical, which involves compiling verses related to the theme, then correlating those verses in al-Marāghi's interpretation and relating them to current conditions. This study found that Simple life refers to the opposite word of isrāf, which is the prohibition of exaggeration in doing something. Al-Marāghi gives the definition of Simple life as being in the middle, not leaning to the right and left, not exaggerating in using wealth and being grateful for the blessings that have been given by Allah Ta'ala. In today's conditions, Simple life does not only include wealth, but also involves other things in life, such as Simple life in behavior, speech, speech, eating, drinking, and Simple life in worshiping Allah SWT.
