Abstract

ABSTRACT:
The design of a Co-working Space in Indonesia’s new capital city, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), is driven by the need for a flexible workspace that supports a productive, collaborative, and sustainable lifestyle for current and future generations. IKN’s tropical setting presents an ideal opportunity to apply a biophilic architectural approach—a design concept that strengthens the connection between humans and nature. In this project, natural elements such as sunlight, vegetation, natural ventilation, and eco-friendly materials are integrated into the workspace to create a healthy, comfortable, and inspiring environment. The design process involves literature review, precedent studies, and site analysis, followed by the synthesis of a design concept that considers functional, aesthetic, structural, and sustainability aspects. The resulting design is expected not only to provide an adaptive workspace that meets user needs, but also to become an integral part of the urban ecosystem, contributing to the social, economic, and ecological well-being of IKN.
