Abstract

In Sultanate of Demak occured a conflict backed by political conflict at the end of the XVI century. The conflict left a very deep grief for a woman because of she has loss of her husband and brother, who later became chief of Jepara namely Ratu Kalinyamat. Ratu Kalinyamat was the figure of the woman who became a figure of conflict resolution that occured in the Sultanate of Demak. She moved away from the conflict after tasted the bitter experience for the death of her husband and brother. Her silent or Laku Tapa as a successful conflict resolution for ending the conflict that does not further prolonged. In addition to aiming for closer to the Creator with an atmosphere of calm and silent Ratu Kalinyamat try to figure out God's justice. Surely there was an affect why she took this step of conflict resolution and how the view of modern conflict resolution to what has been done by Ratu Kalinyamat.
From various interviews chronicle Ratu Kalinyamat took Tapa. Researcher using qualitative research using the method of analysis of narrative with its ability to understand the person's identity and world view by referring to the stories (narrative) that it listen to or spoken in everyday activities and attempted to describe and analyze the kind of conflict resolution of Ratu Kalinyamat for solving the conflict and inspect it from modern conflict theory.
Here the researchers analyze with interviews from the chronicle that her silent in laku tapa can be seen as an conflict resolution in response to the environment and social conditions at that time and generating conflict resolution in practice by Ratu Kalinyamat, she succumbs to the conflict and be patient to get the right answer to the conflict. In view of the conflict, conflict resolution theory of modern world that is known the existence of conflict resolution that is typically used as a tool to achieve a resolution which is to be achieved, we are familiar with the term negotiation, mediation, arbitration and conciliation are used as a means to resolve a dispute or conflict. In addition there are a number of approaches resulting from the conflicts of the response with avoid, fight, accommodation, collaboration-conflict. Ratu Kalinyamat negotiates, Ratu Kalinyamat yield and left the location of conflict and Ratu Kalinyamat perform a resistance through by her appointments and competition.
It can be made as an example that was a woman also able to solve the conflict agree with her ability and also as a guide in choosing a suitable action and needed when someone got a problem.
