Abstract

Prestasi siswa sangat menjadi perhatian masyarakat. Sekolah yang mampu menciptakan prestasi siswa dipandang sekolah yang positif, sebaliknya sekolah yang minim menciptkan prestasi siswa dipandang sekolah negatif. Maka agar menjadi sekolah pilihan siswa, orang tua dan masyarakat, sekolah harus mampu menciptakan prestasi siswanya, baik prestasi akademik dan non-akademik. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab permasalahan: (1) Bagaimana perencanaan manajemen kesiswaan dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik dan non-akademik siswa di MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak? (2)Bagaimana pelaksanaan manajemen kesiswaan dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik dan non-akademik siswa di MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak? (3) Bagaimana evaluasi manajemen kesiswaan dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik dan non-akademik siswa di MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak? Permasalahan tersebut dibahas melalui penelitian lapangan di MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak untuk mendapatkan pemikiran manajemen kesiswaan dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik dan non-akademik siswa. Datanya diperoleh dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Semua data dianalisis, dengan analisis interaktif melalui 3 kegiatan, yaitu reduksi didata, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diperoleh dengan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan meningkatkan prestasi akademik meliputi: (a) Program identifikasi kecerdasan dan potensi siswa. (b) Program pengelompokan siswa. (c) Program motivasi belajar. (d) Program kedisiplinan. (e) Program jam tambahan belajar. Sedangkan perencanaan meningkatkan prestasi non-akademik meliputi: (a) Identifikasi kegiatan non-akademik yang sesuai dengan bakat, minat dan potensi siswa. (b)Sosialisasi pelenggaraan kegiatan non-akademik. (c)Identifikasi sarana-prasarana penunjang kegiatan non-akademik. Pelaksanaan meningkatkan prestasi akademik meliputi: (a) Identifikasi kecerdasan dan potensi siswa. (b) Penelompokan siswa. (c) Pengarahan dan bimbingan motivasi belajar. (d)Pengarahan dan pembinaan kedisiplinan. (e) Penyelenggaraan jam tambahan belajar. Sedangkan pelaksanaan meningkatkan prestasi non-akademik meliputi: (a)Penyelenggaraan kegiatan non-akademik yang sesuai dengan bakat, minat dan potensi siswa. (b) Mendorong keikutsertaan siswa pada kegiatan non-akademik. (c) Mengelompokkan siswa sesuai kegiatan non-akademik yang dipilih. (d)Menunjuk pembina kegiatan non-akademik sesuai kompetensinya. (e)Menjadwal waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan non-akademik. (f)Mengendalikan kedisiplinan pembina dan peserta kegiatan.Evaluasi meningkatkan prestasi akademik meliputi: (a)Tes tulis dan tes lisan. (b) Membandingkan pencapaian hasil pembelajaran dengan target yang ditentukan. (c)Aktif mengikutsertakanan siswa pada Kompetisi Sains Madrasah (KSM). Sedangkan evaluasi meningkatkan prestasi non-akademik meliputi: (a)Aktif mengikutsertakan siswa pada AKSIOMA. (b)Membandingkan pencapaian prestasi non-akademik dengan target yang diharapkan. (c)Mencari penyebab terpenuhi atau tidaknya target yang ditentukan untuk melakukan strategi selanjutnya.

ABSTRACT:

Students’ achievement is being concerned by society a lot. The schools which create many students’ achievements are seen as positive schools, whereas the schools that create minimal students’ achievements are considered to negative schools. So, in order to be chosen by students, parents and society, schools must be able to create students’ achievements, both academic and non-academic achievements. This study is intended to answer the problems: (1) How is the planning of student management in improving students’ academic and non-academic achievement at MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak? (2) How is the implementation of student management in improving students' academic and non-academic achievements at MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak? (3) How is the evaluation of student management in improving students' academic and non-academic achievements at MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak? These problems are discussed through field research to get students management thinking in improving students' academic and non-academic achievements. The data is obtained by interview, observation, and documentation study. All data are analyzed with interactive analysis through 3 activities, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The validity of the data is obtained by source triangulation and technical triangulation.
The result of the study shows that the planning of improving academic achievement includes: (a) The program ofthe students’ intelligence and potential identification. (b) Student grouping program. (c) Learning motivation program. (d) Discipline program. (e) Additional hours of learning program. While planning to improve non-academic achievements include: (a) Identification of non-academic activities that are in accordance with the talents, interests and potential of students. (b) Dissemination of the implementation of non-academic activities. (c) Identification of infrastructures which support non-academic activities. The implementation of improving academic achievement includes: (a) Identification of intelligence and potential of students. (b) Student grouping. (c) Direction and guidance of learning motivation. (d) Discipline direction and guidance. (e) Organizing additional hours of study. While the implementation of improving non-academic achievements includes: (a) Organizing non-academic activities that are in accordance with the talents, interests and potential of students. (b) Encouraging student participation in non-academic activities. (c) Grouping students according to selected non-academic activities. (d) Appoint some coaches of non-academic activities according to their competencies. (e) The schedule the implementation of non-academic activities. (f) Controlling the discipline of coaches and participants’ activities. Evaluation of improving academic achievement includes: (a) Written tests and oral tests. (b) Comparing the achievement of learning outcomes with specified targets. (c) Ask the students to join the Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) regularly. While evaluations to improve non-academic achievements include: (a) Ask the students to get involved in AKSIOMA. (b) Comparing non-academic achievement with the expected target. (c) Finding the cause for whether or not the target is determined to carry out the next strategy.
