Abstract
Taruna sebagai calon perwira polisi. Idealnya taruna tidak melakukan tindakan negatif, karena taruna telah dibekali ilmu pendidikan agama Islam guna membentuk karakter yang beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan, bijkasana, jujur serta disiplin. Namun fakta dilapangan masih ditemukan taruna yang melakukan tindakan bullying. Dari fenomena tersebut perlu dilakukan pengkajian bagaimana pelaksanaan pendidikan agama Islam dalam pembentukan karakter religius taruna Akademi kepolisian.
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjawab permasalahan tentang bagaimana perencanaan, proses, evaluasi, dannhasil dari pelaksanaan PAI di Akpol. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif lapangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancaara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dosen/gadik, pengasuh, dan taruna.
Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Perencanaan pelaksanaan PAI sudah bagus, karena perencanaan yang terangkum dalam kurikulum dan rencana pembelajaran semester telah sesuai dengan standar nasional pendidikan tinggi dalam kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (KKNI).(2) Proses pelaksanaan PAI kurang baik, karena metodenya hanya ceramah, tanya jawab, berpusat pada dosen, sehingga banyak taruna yang tidur. (3) Evaluasi pelaksanaan PAI secara keseluruhan cukup baik, karena masih ditemukan teknik benar salah.(4) hasil pelaksanaan PAI belum berhasil sepenuhnya, karena taruna masih banyak yang tidur dikelas.

As potential police officers. Ideally cadets do not take negative actions, because cadets have been provided with the knowledge of Islamic religious education in order to form a character that is faithful and pious to God, wise, honest and disciplined. But the facts in the field are still found by cadets who carry out bullying. From this phenomenon it is necessary to study how the implementation of Islamic religious education in the formation of the religious character of the police Academy cadets.
This research was conducted to answer the problem of how to plan, process, evaluate, and result from the implementation of PAI in the Police Academy. This research is a qualitative field research using a phenomenology approach. The method of data collection in this study uses interview, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were lecturers / teachers, caregivers, and cadets.
This study shows that: (1) PAI implementation planning is good, because planning summarized in the semester curriculum and learning plan is in accordance with the national standards of higher education within the framework of the Indonesian National Qualifications (KKNI). (2) The PAI implementation process is not good, because the method was only lectures, question and answer, centered on lecturers, so many cadets slept. (3) Evaluation of the implementation of the PAI as a whole is quite good, because the technique is still incorrectly found. (4) the results of the implementation of the PAI have not been fully successful, because many cadets still sleep in class.
