Abstract
Maraknya usaha peningkatan kompetensi kader da’i kampus berbanding lurus dengan semangat gerakan eksklusif paham keagamaan dan radikalisme di sebagian besar perguruan tinggi. Studi pendahuluan mengindikasikan delapan kampus di Jawa Tengah dan Yogyakarta terjangkit gerakan Islam radikal. Kondisi ini terkait dengan eksistensi gerakan kampus karena disusupi paham radikal akibat pemahaman keagamaan yang rendah, praktik dan ekspresi keagamaan yang keliru. Padahal, kader da’i kampus memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam memajukan dakwah kampus yang dikembangkan berbasis pada kompetensi. Kurangnya pemahaman dan ekspresi keberagamaan eksklusif menunjukkan kompetensi yang rendah. Kompetensi yang bervariasi, disebabkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh konsep diri, motivasi berdakwah, dan kesadaran beragama terhadap kompetensi kader da’i kampus, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui intensitas mengikuti bimbingan kelompok.
Dalam rangka pengujian tersebut, data penelitian dikumpulkan dari 139 kader da’i kampus yang aktif dalam kegiatan lembaga dakwah kampus di Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Kota Semarang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen yang dirancang secara khusus untuk penelitian, telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya dalam satu uji coba. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis jalur dua tingkat.
Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa secara umum tingkat kompetensi kader da’i kampus PTN dalam kategori sedang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi mereka masih dalam proses pengembangan, sehingga masih perlu ditingkatkan. Analisis inferensial menemukan bahwa: pertama, intensitas mengikuti bimbingan kelompok kader da’i kampus dipengaruhi oleh konsep diri, motivasi berdakwah, dan kesadaran beragama. Ketiga variabel secara simultan memberikan sumbangan sebesar 28,8%. Kedua, kompetensi kader da’i kampus dipengaruhi secara langsung oleh konsep diri, motivasi berdakwah, kesadaran beragama, dan intensitas mengikuti bimbingan kelompok sebesar 53,9%. Ketiga, variabel juga memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap kompetensi kader da’i kampus, melalui intensitas mengikuti bimbingan kelompok sebesar 13,3%. Temuan ini mendukung hipotesis penelitian dan kesesuaian model jalur yang dikembangkan untuk memahami kompetensi kader da’i kampus.
ABSTRACT:
The spirit of improvement the competency of campus cadres da’i directly proportional to the spirit of an exclusive movement of religious understanding and radicalism in most universities. A preliminary study indicated eight campuses in Central Java and Yogyakarta were infected by the radical Islamic movement. This condition is related to the existence of the campus movement because of being infiltrated by radicalism due to low religious understanding, wrong practices, and religious expressions. In fact, campus cadre da’i have a very important role in advancing da’wah campus based on competence. Lack of understanding and expression of exclusive religiosity indicates low competence. Varied competence, caused by factors that influence it, both directly and indirectly.
This study aims to empirically examine the influence of self-concept, motivation to da’wah, and religious consciousness on the competency of campus cadres da’i, both directly and indirectly through the intensity of joining group guidance.
In the framework of the test, research data were collected from 139 campus caders da’i who were active in campus da’wah activities at the Semarang City State University. Data collection was carried out using instruments specifically designed for research, validity and reliability were tested in a single trial. The data collected is then analyzed using a two-level path analysis technique.
The results of the descriptive analysis showed that in general the level of competence of campus cadres da’i PTN in the moderate category. This finding shows that their competence is still in the process of development, so it still needs to be improved. Inferential analysis found that: first, the intensity of joining the guidance of the campus cadre da’i was influenced by self-concept, motivation of da’wah, and religious consciousness. All three variables simultaneously contributed 28,8%. Secondly, the competency of campus cadres da’i is directly affected by self-concept, motivation of da’wah, religious consciousness, and the intensity of joining group guidance by 53,9%. Third, the variable also has an indirect effect on the competency of campus cadres da’i, through the intensity of joining group guidance of 13,3%. These findings support the research hypothesis and prove the appropriateness of the path analysis model of the relationship between variables developed to improve the competency of campus cadre da’i.
