Abstract

Lemahnya kompetensi pedagogik guru khususnya dalam kegiatan proses pembelajaran menjadi menjadi salah satu penyebab tidak maksimalnya proses kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. Oleh sebab itu, kepala madrasah selaku supervisor melakukan supervisi akademik dalam upaya mengatasi hal tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui, mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tentang supervisi akademik kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru di MA. Pondok Pabelan; (2) Mengetahui, mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik guru di MA. Pondok Pabelan Magelang.
Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif lapangan. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan memverifikasi data kemudian menarik kesimpulan. Peneliti melakukan uji keabsahan data dengan menggunakan metode triangulasi untuk mengecek informasi yang telah didapat dari semua sumber baik dari wawancara, observasi maupun dokumen yang ada.
Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Supervisi akademik kepala madrasah di MA. Pondok Pabelan Magelang sudah berjalan dengan baik. Supervisi akademik dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. 2) Pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik guru di MA. Pondok Pabelan dilakukan dengan cara meminta guru agar aktif di organisasi keguruan, belajar dengan guru senior yang kompetensi pedagogik baik, mengadakan workshop/lokakarya, penataran guru, rapat sekolah, dan kegiatan supervisi.

ABSTRACT:
The low pedagogical competence of teachers, especially in the learning process activities, is one of the causes of the non-optimal learning process in the classroom. Therefore, the principal as a supervisor carries out academic supervision in an effort to overcome the problem. This study aims to: (1) Know, describe and analyze the academic supervision of principals in improving the pedagogical competence of teachers in the MA. Pondok Pabelan; (2) Knowing, describing and analyzing the development of teacher pedagogical competencies in the MA. Pondok Pabelan Magelang.
This study uses field qualitative research. Data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The collected data were analyzed by reducing data, presenting data and verifying data then concluded. The researcher tests the validity of the data by using the triangulation method to check the information that has been obtained from all sources both from interviews, observations and existing documents.
The findings in this study indicate that: 1) Academic supervision of principals in MA. Pondok Pabelan Magelang is going well. Academic supervision is carried out through three stages, namely the process of planning, implementation and evaluation. 2) Development of teacher pedagogical competencies in MA. Pondok Pabelan is done by asking teachers to be active in teacher training organizations, to study with senior teachers with good pedagogical competence, to hold workshops / workshops, teacher upgrading, school meetings, and supervision activities.
