Abstract
Islamic boarding schools have three main functions, namely first, as a center for the cadre of religious thinkers (center of excellence). Second, as an institution that prints human resources (human resources) and Third, as an institution that has the power to empower the community (agent of development). Therefore, some Islamic boarding schools not only equip students with religious knowledge but also provide skills and entrepreneurship to their students. One of the boarding schools based on tahfidh which implements and develops entrepreneurship of students is the Al Mumtaz Integrated Islamic Boarding School (Based on Tahfidh and Entrepreneurs) Yogyakarta and Pondok Tahfidh Yanbu'ul Qur’an Kudus (PTYQ).
This research will reveal: 1) how the Al Mumtaz Integrated Islamic Boarding School strategy in improving students' entrepreneurial spirit, 2) how the strategy of Pondok Tahfidh Yanbu'ul Kudus, 3) how comparative between the Integrated Boarding School Al Mumtaz Yogyakarta with Pondok Tahfidh Yanbu 'ul Qur'an Kudus in enhancing students' entrepreneurial spirit. So that they can find out the strategy of Islamic boarding school in printing students' entrepreneurship.
This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach. Data collection methods used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected was then analyzed using descriptive comparative methods, namely describing and comparing how the strategy in the Al Mumtaz Integrated Islamic Boarding School in Yogyakarta and Pondok Tahfidh Yanbu'ul Qur’an Kudus in improving the spirit of entrepreneurship in the santri.
This study produces the following conclusions: First, the implementation of the Al Mumtaz Integrated Islamic Boarding School strategy in improving the entrepreneurial spirit of students, which requires students to take entrepreneur classes or can be called MKDU and when they have entered class XI, students have become members of business units. Secondly, the implementation of the Pondok Tahfidh Yanbu'ul Qur’an Kudus strategy in improving the entrepreneurial spirit of the santri is to require students to take part in the pondok program or entrepreneurship training after burying the Qur'an with a period of approximately 5 years and will be placed in the foundation's business unit.
