This study aims to determine the effect of intellectual capital (IC) and bank risk on the performance of Islamic maqashid Islamic Banking in Indonesia (Empirical study on Islamic Commercial Banks registered with the OJK in 2017-2019). There are five independent variables studied, namely components of IC including: Capital Emploed (IB-VACA), Human Capital (IB-VAHU), dan Structural Capital (IB-STVA), as well as bank risks studied including capital risk measured by calculating the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and liquidity risk are measured by calculating the Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR). The method used in this study uses quantitative methods with analysis using SPSS 16.00. The results of this study state that Intellectual Capital (IB-VACA variable) has a significant negative effect on the Sharia Maqashid Performance (MSI) variable; (IB-VAHU variable) has a positive but not significant effect on the Sharia Maqashid Performance (MSI) variable; (IB-STVA variable) has an insignificant negative effect on the Sharia Maqashid Performance (MSI) variable; capital risk (CAR variable) has an insignificant negative effect on the Sharia Maqashid Performance (MSI) variable; and liquidity risk (FDR variable) has a positive but not significant effect on the Sharia Maqashid Performance (MSI) variable.
