Suatu negara yang berkembang atau maju, memang tidak lepas dari sektor industri. Adanya sebuah industri berdampak pada perubahan pola hidup masyarakat di sekitar. Adapun salah satu perubahan tersebut adalah pada aspek spiritualitas masyarakat di sekitar industri tersebut. Perubahan tersebut mengarahkan adanya kecenderungan mementingkan duniawi daripada akhirat.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian jenis lapangan (field research) dengan menggunakan metode korelasi kuantitatif. Dengan Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berasal dari kuesioner yang diberikan kepada masyarakat Kaliwungu Kendal yang bekerja di Kawasan Industri Kendal sebanyak 100 responden. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan accidental sampling dalam mengambil sampel. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linear berganda, dengan olah data menggunakan SPSS 16.0 for windows.
Dari hasil pengolahan data penelitian diperoleh persamaan regresi linier berganda Y = 42,343+ (-0,518) (X1) + 0,315 (X2). Dengan hasil penelitian pada koefisienan regresi disimpulan bahwa hipotesis Ha dapat dinyatakan diterima dan dapat diketahui bahwa variabel Bekerja di Industri (X_1) secara parsial berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap spiritualitas dan variabel Pemahaman Agama (X_2) secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Spiritualitas (Y) masyarakat Kaliwungu Kendal. Sedangkan dalam koefisien determinasi (R2) diketahui nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 17,5%, hal ini berarti bahwa Spiritualitas (Y) dipengaruhi oleh perubahan variabel Bekerja di Industri (X_1) dan variabel Pemahaman Agama (X_2) yaitu sebesar 17,5%.

ABSTRACT:
A developing or developed country cannot be separated from the industrial sector. The existence of an industry has an impact on changing the lifestyle of the surrounding society. One of these changes is in the spirituality aspect of the society around the industry. These changes lead to a tendency to prioritize the worldly than the hereafter.
This research is a field research study using the quantitative interview method. With the source of data in this study came from a questionnaire given to the Kaliwungu Kendal society who work in the Kendal Industrial Estate as many as 100 respondents. In this study, researchers used accidental sampling in taking samples. The method of analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis, with data processing using SPSS 16.0 for windows.
From the results of research data processing multiple linear regression equation Y = 842.343 + (-0.518) (X1) + 0.315 (X_2). With the results of the regression coefficient research, it is concluded that the hypothesis Ha is accepted and it can be seen that the Working in Industry variable (X1) partially has a negative and significant effect on spirituality and the Religion Understanding variable (X_2) simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on the Spirituality (Y) of society. Whereas in the coefficient of determination (R2) it is known that the coefficient of determination is 17.5%, this means that Spirituality (Y) is obtained by the change variable working in industry (X1) and the religious understanding variable (X_2) by 17.5%.
