Abstract

The management of the pesantren curriculum must be structured in such a way so that pesantren graduates can respond to the demands of the times. It needs to be realized that not all pesantren graduates can become ulama or Kyai, so that currently the transformation of the pesantren is being intensified. Pesantren is not only a place to study religion but also a place to study general science and entrepreneurship. This study aims to answer the following questions: (1) How is the entrepreneurial education curriculum at Islamic boarding school al-Mawaddah Kudus? (2) How is the management of the entrepreneurial education curriculum at Pesantren al-Mawaddah Kudus? This question is discussed through field research. Sources of data obtained from the field through interviews, observation and document study. These data were analyzed using a phenomenological approach and Spradley analysis techniques with four techniques of domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, component analysis and analysis of cultural themes.
The results of this study indicate that: (1) The entrepreneurial education curriculum is a combination of entrepreneurial education and spiritual values called spiritual entrepreneurship. The goal of entrepreneurial education is to instill independence in students as a provision for students to actually live in society. Entrepreneur material is in the form of education and training, seminars and training filled by experts or practitioners in their respective fields. In addition to obtaining material about entrepreneurship, all santri are also required to practice entrepreneurship by running businesses owned by Islamic boarding schools. (2) The management activities of the entrepreneurial education curriculum include planning, organizing, implementing and controlling the curriculum. Curriculum planning is in the form of pesantren goals which are contained in the pesantren's vision. In managerial terms, the curriculum planning is formulated by the caregiver, while academically the entrepreneurial curriculum is an integrated curriculum that focuses the curriculum on a particular topic, not in the form of a collection of several subjects. Organizing the pesantren curriculum is the duty of caregivers as managers and administrators at the pesantren, including compiling annual plans, coaching pesantren organizations, coordinating and chairing meetings. The implementation of the pesantren curriculum is carried out by the teaching staff at the pesantren in the form of learning activities in class and guidance to students who have problems in learning. Control of the universal curriculture is a supervision of the curriculum, that is the assistance of career teachers to teachers of students that experience problems in learning activities. Control of the curriculum that has been executed is in the form of curriculum evaluation based on the objectives and final results obtained by the students in running a business. Evaluation tool in the form of business activities book shared to all santries every one month that shows the student's income for one month. Evaluation tools are also in the form of CCTV and computer-based cashiers installed in several Islamic boarding schools.
