Abstract
Latar belakang: Stres merupakan bentuk rangsangan atau tekanan yang bersifat individual dan bereaksi secara adaptif terhadap manusia. Stres diketahui dapat menyebabkan gangguan perilaku makan. Perilaku makan yang tidak baik atau tidak sehat akan berdampak pada status kesehatan dalam jangka waktu pendek maupun panjang, salah satunya yaitu berdampak pada status gizi. Stres diduga dapat mempengaruhi perilaku makan dan berdampak pada status gizi.
Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres terhadap perilaku makan dan status gizi mahasiswa di Pondok Pesantren A.P.I Al-Masykur Jombor.
Metode: Penelitian dilakukan dengan desain cross sectional di Pondok Pesantren A.P.I Al-Masykur Jombor. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 120 orang, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan yaitu seluruh populasi yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi berjumlah 84 orang. Data yang diukur adalah tingkat stres dengan menggunakan kuesioner Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (KPDS), perilaku makan diukur menggunakan kuesioner perilaku makan, dan status gizi diukur menggunakan IMT yang didapat dari pengukuran tinggi badan dan berat badan. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Gamma.
Hasil: Karakteristik responden memiliki tingkat stres ringan (22,6%), sedang (29,8%), berat (35,7%), dan tidak stres (11,9%), perilaku makan baik (41,7%) dan tidak baik (58,3%), status gizi sangat kurus (8,3%), kurus (19,0%), normal (52,4%), overweight (10,7%), dan obesitas (9,5%). Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan tingkat stres memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan perilaku makan responden (p<0,05). Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara perilaku makan dengan status gizi (p>0,05).
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara tingkat stres dengan perilaku makan. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara perilaku makan dengan status gizi.
ABSTRACT:
Background: Stress is a form of stimulation or pressure that is individual and reacts adaptively to humans. Stress is known to cause eating disorders. Bad eating behavior will have an impact on health status in the short and long term, one of which is the impact on nutritional status. Stress is thought to affect eating behavior and have an impact on nutritional status.
Purpose: Knowing the relationship between stress levels on eating behavior and nutritional status of students at the A.P.I Al-Masykur Islamic Boarding School Jombor.
Methods: This research was conducted with a cross sectional design at Pondok Pesantren A.P.I Al-Masykur Jombor. The population in this study amounted to 120 people, while the sample used was the entire population that met the inclusion criteria of 84 people. The data measured were stress levels using a questionnaire Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (KPDS), eating behavior was measured using the eating behavior questionnaire, and nutritional status was measured using BMI obtained from measurements of height and weight. Bivariate analysis used Gamma.
Result: The characteristics of respondents are have stress levels: mild disorder (22,6%), moderate disorder (29,8%), severe disorder (35,7%), and be well (11,9%), good eating behavior (41,7%) and bad eating behavior (58,3%), nutritional status: very thin (8,3%), thin (19,0%), normal (52,4%), overweight (10,7%), obesity (9,5%). The results of bivariate analysis showed that the level of stress had a significant relationship with eating behavior (p<0,05). There was no significant relationship between eating behavior and nutritional status (p>0,05).
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between stress levels and eating behavior. There is no significant relationship between eating behavior and nutritional status.
