Abstract

Kemampuan dalam menganalisa masalah yang baik dapat memaksimalkan proses penyelesaian terkait persoalan akademik maupun non-akademik mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan basic counseling skills untuk meningkatkan kemampuan problem solving mahasiswa Bimbingan Penyuluhan Islam, UIN Walisongo Semarang. Pendekatan yang digunakan yakni kuantitatif jenis true experimental dengan bantuk post-test only control group design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yakni purposive sampling dengan subjek sebanyak 62 mahasiswa. Sumber data yang diperoleh melalui angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yakni uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji T dan uji N-Gain.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan uji T dengan keabsahan 5% yakni nilai Thitung 81,375 > nilai Ttabel 1,670. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil spss bahwa uji T diperoleh signifikasi 0.00 < 0.05 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan problem solving skill mahasiswa yang sangat signifikan antara yang diberikan dan tidak diberikan pelatihan basic counseling skills dengan cycle learning method. Hal ini berarti keterampilan dasar konseling yang meliputi listening skills, leading skills, reflecting skills, chalenging skills, interpreting skills, informing skills, summarizing skills, dan feedback yang diterapkan melalui fase engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration serta evaluation memberikan peningkatan terhadap kemampuan problem solving skill yang meliputi mengenali masalah, merencanakan strategi, menetapkan strategi, dan mengevaluasi solusi. Efektivitas pemberian pelatihan basic counseling skills dengan cycle learning method tergolong sedang yakni mendapat skor N-Gain 0.59. Hal ini disebabkan karena pelatihan dilakukan secara daring (online). Faktor yang mempengaruhi yakni ketersediaan jaringan internet, konsentrasi yang kurang, dan praktik penerapan konsep yang terbatas.

ABSTRACT:
The ability to analyze problems well can maximize the resolution process to students' academic and non-academic problems. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the effectiveness basic counseling skills training to improve problem solving for Islamic Counseling Guidance students, UIN Walisongo Semarang. The approach used is a true experimental quantitative type with the form of a post-test only control group design. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a subject of 62 students. Sources of data obtained through questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis used is validity test, reliability test, normality test, homogeneity test, T test and N-Gain test.
The results of the study showed that the hypothesis was aceepted. The results showed that the T test with 5% validity was the Tcount value of 81,375 > Ttable value of 1,670. In addition, based on the results of the SPSS, the T test obtained a significance of 0.00 < 0.05, which means that there is a very significant difference in student problem solving skills between those who are given and those who are not given basic counseling skills training with cycle learning methods. This means that basic counseling skills which include listening skills, leading skills, reflecting skills, challenging skills, interpreting skills, informing skills, summarizing skills, and feedback that are applied through engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration and evaluation phases provide an increase in problem solving abilities. skills that include recognizing problems, planning strategies, setting strategies, and evaluating solutions. The effectiveness of providing basic counseling skills training with the cycle learning method is classified as moderate, namely getting an N-Gain score of 0.59. This is because the training is conducted online. The influencing factors are the availability of the internet network, lack of concentration, and limited practice of applying the concept.
