Abstract
Judul penelitian ini menarik perhatian bagi peneliti dengan pertimbangan bahwa: Penguatan karakter menjadi program prioritas Presiden Joko Widodo yang tertuang di dalam Nawacita, yakni melalui pergerakan PPK (Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter) yang dirintis sejak tahun 2016. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni: 1) Menggambarkan pendidikan karakter pada “Indonesia Heritage Foundation” Depok Jawa Barat, pada jenjang SMA. 2) Menganalisis pendidikan karakter di “Indonesia Heritage Foundation” Depok Jawa Barat pada jenjang SMA dalam perspektif pendidikan Islam. 3) Menjelaskan kontribusi pendidikan Islam pada “Indonesia Heritage Foundation” Depok Jawa Barat bagi pengembangan tingkah laku Islami.
Melalui metode observasi, interview, dokumentasi, dan analisis data diperoleh gambaran bahwa (1) Pendidikan karakter pada “Indonesia Heritage Foundation” Depok Jawa Barat pada jenjang SMA dilaksanakan melalui program “Pendidikan Holistik Berbasis Karakter”, yakni internalisasi nilai-nilai “9 pilar karakter” yang diintegrasikan dalam seluruh aktifitas peserta didik. Strategi ini memotivasi siswa secara optimal karena melibatkan dimensi manusia secara menyeluruh dan aktif melalui penyajian materi pelajaran yang lebih konkrit dan relevan dengan konteks kehidupan siswa. Metode penerapan dilakukan secara eksplisit dan sistematis, yakni dengan knowing the good, reasoning the good, feeling the good, dan acting the good. (2) Dalam perspektif pendidikan Islam, pendidikan karakter pada “Indonesia Heritage Foundation” Depok Jawa Barat pada jenjang SMA memiliki karakteristik yang identik dan signifikan dengan motif-motif pendidikan akhlak dalam Pendidikan Islam, hal ini semakin menunjang terbentuknya pribadi yang holistik secara Islami. Antara pendidikan karakter dan pendidikan Islam terdapat titik singgung yang sama, dengan fokus kajian pada sikap, tingkah laku, dan perbuatan. Nilai-nilai dalam pendidikan karakter menjadi pendukung dalam proses internalisasinya, sehingga nilai-nilai tersebut seolah menjadi “ruh” bagi pendidikan Islam (3) Pendidikan Islam memberikan peran positif dan berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam proses internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter pada “Indonesia Heritage Foundation” Depok Jawa Barat bagi pengembangan tingkah laku yang Islami, khususnya untuk jenjang SMA. Pendidikan Islam berperan dan memberi sumbangsih secara positif dan signifikan bagi optimalisasi dan pengembangannya karena pendidikan Islam berpredikat sebagai pembimbing, pengarah, pembentuk, dan pengendali sikap dan tingkah laku anak menuju terbentuknya pribadi yang Islami (ber-akhlaq al-karimah).
ABSTRACT:
The title attracts the author's attention with the consideration that: Strengthening character is a priority program of President Joko Widodo as stated in the Nawacita, namely through the PPK (Strengthening Character Education) movement which was initiated in 2016. The aims of this study are: 1) To describe character education in children. "Indonesia Heritage Foundation" Depok, West Java, at the high school level. 2) Analyzing character education at the "Indonesia Heritage Foundation" Depok, West Java at the high school level in the perspective of Islamic education. 3) Explain the contribution of Islamic education to the "Indonesia Heritage Foundation" in Depok, West Java, for the development of Islamic behavior.
Through the methods of observation, interviews, documentation, and data analysis, an illustration is obtained that (1) character education at the "Indonesia Heritage Foundation" Depok West Java at the high school level is carried out through the "Character-Based Holistic Education" program, namely the internalization of the values of "9 pillars of character". which is integrated in all student activities. This strategy motivates students optimally because it involves the human dimension as a whole and actively through the presentation of subject matter that is more concrete and relevant to the context of students' lives. The implementation method is carried out explicitly and systematically, namely by knowing the good, reasoning the good, feeling the good, and acting the good. (2) In the perspective of Islamic education, character education at the "Indonesia Heritage Foundation" in Depok, West Java, at the high school level has identical and significant characteristics with the motives of moral education in Islamic education, this further supports the formation of a holistic Islamic personality. Between character education and Islamic education there is a common point of contact, with a focus on studies on attitudes, behavior, and actions. The values in character education become supporters in the internalization process, so that these values seem to be the "spirit" for Islamic education (3) Islamic education provides a positive role and contributes significantly in the process of internalizing character values at the "Indonesia Heritage Foundation" Depok, West Java, for the development of Islamic behavior, especially for the high school level. Islamic education plays a role and contributes positively and significantly to its optimization and development because Islamic education is predicated as a guide, director, shaper, and controller of children's attitudes and behavior towards the formation of an Islamic personality (having akhlaq al-karimah).
