Abstract
Di arus globalisasi yang semakin pesat, terdapat sebuah komunitas masyarakat sedulur sikep yang masih mempertahankan ajaran tata cara sikep hingga saat ini. Masyarakat sedulur sikep merupakan masyarakat adat yang kental akan kebudayaan dan ajaran kebatinan yang masih dilestarikan hingga sekarang.Masyarakat ini lahir dari perlawanan-perlawanan terhadap kolonial Belanda pada saat penjajahan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mematahkan stigma negatif masyarakat luas terhadap masyarakat sedulur sikep yang dinilai membangkang dan keras kepala. Peneliti berusaha menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat sedulur sikep mempunyai kebermaknaan hidup dibalik perilaku yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengalaman hidup masyarakat sedulur sikep di kecamatan Sukolilo kabupaten Pati. Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis peneilitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu wawancara dan observasi. Subjek berjumlah lima orang masyarakat sedulur sikep desa Baturejo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkaan jika semua subjek memiliki pengalaman kebermaknaan hidup, yaitu bermanfaat bagi orang lain, saling menghargai dan menghormati antar sesama serta menjaga ucapan dan perilaku. Pengalaman kebermaknaan hidup ini diperoleh dari keterikatan individu dengan tata cara sikep. Meskipun dengan memegang teguh ajaran tata cara sikep, individu seringkali mendapatkan penilaian negatif. Namun, hal ini dapat diterima dengan baik oleh sedulur sikep.
ABSTRACT:
In the current of increasingly rapid globalization, there is a sedulur sikep community that still maintains the teachings of sikep procedures to this day. The sedulur sikep community is one of the indigenous peoples that is still thick with culture and spiritual teachings that are preserved today. This society waas born fromm resistance to the Dutch colonialism at the time of colonization. This research was conducted to break the negative stigma of the wider community towards the sedulur sikep society which is considered disobedient and stubborn. Researchers are trying to show that the sedulur sikep society has a meaning of life behind the behavior carried out.This study aims to describe the life experiences of the Sedulur Sikep community in Sukolilo sub-district, Pati district. The research method uses a type of qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and observation. The subjects were five people from the Sedulur Sikep community of Baturejo Village. The results of the study show that all subjects have experienced the meaningfulness of life, namely being useful to others, respecting and respecting each other and maintaining speech and behavior. This experience of the meaningfulness of life is obtained from the individual's attachment to the sikep ordinances. Although by upholding the teachings of the sikep ordinances, they often get negative evaluations. However, this was well received by the sikep members.
