Abstract

Impact on various sectors of life in Indonesia, one of which is the economic sector. During the pandemic, many people were victims of layoffs and the closure of several MSMEs, resulting in an increasing unemployment rate. This is also felt by most women who feel restless due to the prolonged lockdown. Around 30% of female workers experience layoffs and this has an impact on their economy. Women are required to carry out an innovation or movement to restore their economy in
order to survive. This study aims to explore the movement of women to survive and face the crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in the economic sector. The research method used is a qualitative (descriptive) method by examining the results of related research. The results of the study were further strengthened by interview data conducted on several purposively selected sources. The results show that women in the COVID-19 pandemic situation are at the forefront of fighting for economic resilience in their families and communities. A number of innovative activities and activities were initiated, such as organizing online markets, establishing UMKM with easy materials and minimal capital, soft skill training and home industry development and so on.
