Syi’ir dalam tafsir al-Qur‘an mempunyai fungsi dan tujuan berbeda-beda. Pada masa klasik syi’ir berfungsi sebagai bahan rujukan penafsiran oleh beberapa mufassir. Sedangkan di Nusantara syi’ir berfungsi sebagai produk penafsiran dan belum lama ini syi’ir digunakan sebagai dasar dalam memahami makna al-Qur‘an yang dirangkum dari keterangan ayat. Studi ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab pertanyaan: (1) Bagaimana dinamika syi’ir pada tafsir al-Mubarok karya KH. Taufiqul Hakim dalam menafsirkan suatu ayat? (2) Mengapa tafsir al-Mubarok karya KH. Taufiqul Hakim menggunakan syi’ir untuk menafsirkan al-Qur‘an? Permasalahan itu dibahas melalui studi kepustakaan sekaligus lapangan. Tafsir al-Mubarok yang ditulis pada tahun 2020-2021 sebagai sumber data primer, serta melakukan wawancara semiterstruktur untuk menemukan informasi terkait permasalahan secara terbuka dan lebih mendalam. Semua data dianalisis dengan pendekatan sastra dan analisis deskriptif terkait syi’ir dalam tafsir al-Mubarok.
Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Syi’ir pada tahap pertama ditulis secara lengkap pada seluruh isi kitab, seperti pada tafsir al-Mubarok surah al-Fatihah. Tahap selanjutnya syi’ir hanya terdapat pada bagian penafsiran dan keterangan-keterangan terkait ayat maupun surah. Lafaz syi’ir tersusun berdasarkan hasil rangkuman keterangan ayat dan kutipan dari beberapa ayat al-Qur‘an. Sehingga objek dari tafsir al-Mubarok tidak lagi khusus bagi kalangan santri saja tetapi meluas ke seluruh masyarakat. (2) Penggunaan syi’ir dalam tafsir al-Mubarok dikarenakan untuk membantu santri dalam memahami, menghafal dan praktek mengaplikasikan teori dari kaidah tertentu (mufrodat lughowiyyah, I’rob, balaghah) maupun praktek amaliah ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Secara global, syi’ir digunakan sebagai media untuk memahami al-Qur‘an dan menjadi metode bagi santri, alumni PP. Darul Falah maupun orang berilmu untuk mempelajari makna sekaligus kaidah yang terdapat pada setiap ayat al-Qur‘an.
 
ABSTRACT:
Syi’ir in the interpretation of the Qur‘an has different functions and purposes. In the classical period, syi’ir served as a reference material for interpretation by several mufassir. Whereas in the Archipelago syi’ir functions as a product of interpretation and recently syi’ir has been used as a basis for understanding the meaning of the Qur‘an which is summarized from verse descriptions. This study is intended to answer questions: (1) What are the dynamics of syi’ir in the commentary of al-Mubarok by KH. Taufiqul Hakim in interpreting a verse? (2) Why in the interpretation of al-Mubarok by KH. Taufiqul Hakim uses syi’ir to interpret the Qur‘an? The problem was discussed through literature and field studies. Tafsir al-Mubarok which was written in 2020-2021 as a primary data source, as well as conducting semi-structured interviews to find information related to problems in an open and more in-depth manner. All data were analyzed using a literary approach and descriptive analysis related to syi’ir in the interpretation of al-Mubarok.
This study shows that: (1) Syi’ir in the first stage is written in full throughout the entire book, as in the commentary al-Mubarok sura al-Fatihah. The next stage of poetry is only found in the shelter section and information related to verses and surahs. The lafaz sy’ir is compiled based on the results of a summary of verse descriptions and quotations from several verses of the Qur‘an. So that the object of al-Mubarok’s interpretation is no longer specific to the santri community but extends to the whole community. (2) The use of sy’ir in the interpretation of al-Mubarok is due to assist students in understanding, memorizing and practicing applying the theory of certain rules (mufrodat lughowiyyah, I’rob, balaghah) as well as practical practices into everyday life. Globally, syi’ir is used as a medium to understand the Qur‘an and as a method for students, alumni of PP. Darul Falah and knowledgeable people to learn the meaning as well as the rules contained in every verse of the Qur‘an.
