Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis manajemen penguatan karakter peserta didik di SMA Semesta Bilingual Boarding School dan SMAN Banua Bilingual Boarding School, serta kelebihan dan kekurangan dari manajemen penguatan karakter peserta didik di SMA Semesta Bilingual Boarding School dan di SMAN Banua Bilingual Boarding School. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitan kualitatif lapangan. Datanya diperolah melalui metode observasi partisipatif, wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Semua data dianalisis dengan pendekatan studi.
Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pengelolaan program penguatan karakter peserta didik di SMA Semesta Bilingual Boarding School dan di SMAN Banua Kalsel Bilingual Boarding School secara umum dijalankan dengan penerapan fungsi-fungsi manajerial mulai dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengendalian. Meskipun memiliki sedikit perbedaan, kedua situs berhasil menguatkan karakter tanggungjawab, kepedulian dan kedisiplinan peserta didiknya yang terbukti dengan penilaian pembina asrama dan hasil yang dicapai berupa akademik dan non akademik (2) Kelebihan dalam manajemen penguatan karakter peserta didik di kedua sekolah menunjukkan bahwa kriteria yang menjadikan sekolah unggulan dan membedakan sekolah tersebut dari yang lain adalah manajemen yang berfungsi dengan lancar. Kekurangan dalam manajemen penguatan karakter peserta didik di kedua sekolah menunjukkan bahwa implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter harus terintegrasi dalam kurikulum dan proses pembelajaran. Dalam pembelajaran harus memerhatikan manajemen kelas, metode dan model pembelajaran, serta tahapan dalam pembelajaran.

ABSTRACT:
This study aims to identify and analyze the management of character strengthening of students at Semesta Bilingual Boarding School and Banua Bilingual Boarding School, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of student character strengthening management at Semesta Bilingual Boarding School and Banua Bilingual Boarding School. Method of the research is a field qualitative research. The data was obtained through participatory observation methods, structured interviews, and documentation. All data were analyzed by study approach.
This study shows that: (1) The management of the character strengthening program for students at Semesta Bilingual Boarding School and Banua Kalsel Bilingual Boarding School is generally carried out by implementing managerial functions ranging from planning, organizing, implementing and controlling. Despite having slight differences, the two sites succeeded in strengthening the character of responsibility, caring and discipline of their students as evidenced by the assessment of the hostel supervisor and the results achieved in the form of academic and non-academic (2) The advantages in the management of strengthening the character of students in both schools indicate that the criterion that makes the school superior and distinguishes the school from the others is management that functions smoothly.Weaknesses in the management of strengthening the character of students in both schools indicate that the implementation of strengthening character education must be integrated into the curriculum and learning process. In learning process must pay attention to class management, methods and models of learning, as well as stages in learning.
