Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis dan kecerdasan emosi dengan agresivitas verbal pada siswa kelas IX MTs Salafiyah kalimas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX MTs Salafiyah kalimas, laki-laki dan perempuan berjumlah 130 siswa, dengan teknik pengambilam sampel menggunakan proportional random sampling. Adapun alat ukur penelitian ini menggunakan tiga skala yaitu skala agresivitas verbal, skala pola asuh demokratis dan skala kecerdasan emosi dengan metode analisis data menggunakan multiple correlation. Hasil penelitian pada pola asuh demokratis dan agresivitas verbal menunjukan signifikansi sebesar p=0,000 (p < 0,05) dengan rxy= -0,506, yang artinya dapat korelasi yang negatif dan signifikan antara pola asuh demokratis dengan agresivitas verbal. Semakin tinggi pola asuh demokratis yang diberikan orang tua maka semakin rendah agresivitas verbal, begitu juga sebaliknya semakin rendah pola asuh demokratis yang diberikan orang tua maka semakin tinggi agresivitas verbal. Kemudian pada variabel kecerdasan emosi dan agresivitas verbal memiliki nilai signifikansi sebesar p=0,028 (p < 0,05) dengan rxy= -0,237, yang artinya dapat korelasi yang negatif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan agresivitas verbal. Semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosi maka semakin rendah agresivitas verbal, begitu juga sebaliknya semakin rendah kecerdasan emosi maka semakin tinggi agresivitas verbal pada siswa kelas IX MTs Salafiyah kalimas. Besarnya hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis dan kecerdasan emosi dengan agresivitas verbal sebesar 0,513, hal ini menunjukan hubungan yang sedang antara pola asuh demokratis dan kecerdasan emosi dengan agresivitas verbal.

ABSTRACT:
This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between democratic parenting and emotional intelligence with verbal aggressiveness in class IX students of MTs Salafiyah Kalimas. This study uses a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were grade IX students at MTs Salafiyah Kalimas, both male and female. The sample of this study amounted to 130 students, with the sampling technique using proportional random sampling. The measuring instrument for this study uses three Likert scales, namely the verbal aggressiveness scale, the democratic parenting pattern scale and the emotional intelligence scale with the data analysis method using multiple correlation. The results of the study on democratic parenting and verbal aggressiveness showed a significance of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) with rxy = -0.506, which means that there is a negative and significant correlation between democratic parenting and verbal aggressiveness. The higher the democratic parenting given by the parents, the lower the verbal aggressiveness, and vice versa, the lower the democratic parenting provided by the parents, the higher the verbal aggressiveness. Then the emotional intelligence and verbal aggressiveness variables have a significance value of p = 0.028 (p < 0.05) with rxy = -0.237, which means that there can be a negative and significant correlation between emotional intelligence and verbal aggressiveness. The higher the emotional intelligence, the lower the verbal aggressiveness, and vice versa the lower the emotional intelligence, the higher the verbal aggressiveness in the IX grade students of MTs Salafiyah Kalimas. The magnitude of the relationship between democratic parenting and emotional intelligence with verbal aggressiveness is 0.513, this shows a moderate relationship between democratic parenting and emotional intelligence with verbal aggressiveness.
