Abstract

Mahasiswa baru mengalami masa transisi dari sekolah menengah atas ke perguruan tinggi, mahasiswa yang masuk pada tahap perkembangan dewasa awal memiliki tugas perkembangan berorientasi pada tugas dan memiliki kemampuan mengendalikan perasaan diri. Namun data menunjukan bahwa masih banyak mahasiswa masih rendah dalam mengatur belajar dan mengendalikan dirinya, berdasarkan tempat tinggal mahasiswa, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji adakah perbedaan self-regulated learning dan self control antara mahasiswa yang tinggal di pondok pesantren dan di luar pondok pesantren. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 200 mahasiswa baru UIN Walisongo Semarang yang tinggal di ponpes dan di luar ponpes yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala psikologi, yaitu skala self-regulated learning dan skala self control. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan self-regulated learning yaitu mahasiswa yang tinggal di ponpes memiliki nilai rata-rata 82,99 dan mahasiswa di luar ponpes memiliki nilai rata-rata 87,89. dan self control yaitu mahasiswa yang tinggal di ponpes memiliki nilai rata-rata 96,86 dan mahasiswa yang tinggal di luar ponpes 102,85.

ABSTRACT:
New students experience a transition period from high school to college, students who enter the early adult development stage have task-oriented developmental tasks and have the ability to control their feelings. However, the data shows that there are still many students who are still low in regulating their learning and controlling themselves, based on the student's residence, so this study aims to examine whether there are differences in self-regulated learning and self-control between students who live in Islamic boarding schools and outside Islamic boarding schools. The sample in this study were 200 new students of UIN Walisongo Semarang who live in Islamic boarding schools and outside Islamic boarding schools selected by purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used is a psychological scale, namely the self-regulated learning scale and the self-control scale. The data analysis technique used is the independent sample t-test. The results showed that there were differences in self-regulated learning, namely students living in Islamic boarding schools had an average score of 82.99 and students outside Islamic boarding schools had an average score of 87.89. and self control, namely students who live in Islamic boarding schools have an average score of 96.86 and students who live outside Islamic boarding schools have 102.85.
