Abstract

Latar Belakang: Mahasiswa tingkat akhir skripsi sering kali tersendat pada tugas akhir mereka. Normalnya bagi mahasiswa yang telah menyelesaikan studinya dan tinggal menulis tugas akhir, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan, mulai dari faktor konsentrasi pendidikan tiap individu, proses mengerjakan skripsi, maupun faktor psikis dari tiap individu yang mengakibatkan perbedaan seberapa lama tiap individu menyelesaikan tugas akhir tersebut.
Tujuan: Mengetahui bagaimana self management mahasiswa yang digunakan ketika dalam proses mengerjakan skripsi.
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif fenomenologis yang dilakukan pada mahasiswa yang telah menyelesaikan skripsi. Pemilihan subjek menggunakan kriteria dan yang terlibat sebanyak 5 subjek dengan dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok untuk diteliti. Wawancara dilakukan dengan semi restruktur. Transkrip wawancara kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Descriptive phenomenological Analysis.
Hasil: Terdapat berapa temuan tema tentang self management pada subjek yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini, diantaranya: 1) self identity, 2) goal setting dan scheduling, 3) self evaluation 4) self motivation 5) self control dan stimulus control, dan 6) self Development
Kesimpulan: Secara keseluruhan, kelima subjek dapat menerapkan self Management pada saat mereka mengerjakan skripsi. Perbedaan dalam motivasi, tujuan, dan dedikasi yang membuat kelima subjek menyelesaikan skripsinya dengan rentang waktu yang berbeda.

ABSTRACT:
Background: Final year undergraduate students often get bogged down in their final assignment. Normally for students who have completed their studies and only have to write their final assignment, there are significant differences, starting from the concentration factors of each individual's education, the process of working on the thesis, as well as the psychological factors of each individual which results in differences in how long it takes each individual to complete the final assignment.
Objective: Knowing how student self-management is used when in the process of working on a thesis.
Methods: This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological descriptive approach conducted on students who have completed their thesis. Selection of subjects using criteria and involved as many as 5 subjects divided into 3 groups to be studied. Interviews were conducted with semi-restructors. Interview transcripts were then analyzed using Descriptive Phenomenological Analysis.
Results: There are several themes of self-management found in this study, including: 1) self-identity, 2) goal setting and scheduling, 3) self-evaluation 4) self-motivation 5) self-control and stimulus control, and 6) self-development
Conclusion: Overall, the five subjects can apply self-management when they are working on their thesis. Differences in motivation, goals, and dedication made the five subjects complete their thesis in different timeframes.
