Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti secara empiris pengaruh self-esteem dan empati terhadap perilaku prososial siswa di MTs Fatahillah Kota Semarang. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 119 siswa MTs Fatahillah. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan skala perilaku prososial, skala self-esteem, dan skala empati. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) Variabel Self-esteem terhadap perilaku prososial memiliki nilai signifikansi (< 0,05) sehingga terdapat pengaruh self-esteem terhadap perilaku prososial siswa di MTs Fatahillah Kota Semarang, 2) Variabel empati terhadap perilaku prososial memiliki nilai signifikansi (< 0,05) sehingga terdapat pengaruh empati terhadap perilaku prososial siswa di MTs Fatahillah Kota Semarang, 3) Variabel Self-esteeem dan empati terhadap perilaku prososial memiliki nilai signifikansi (< 0,05) sehingga terdapat pengaruh self-esteem dan empati terhadap perilaku prososial siswa di MTs Fatahillah Kota Semarang. Sumbangan efektif Adjusted R square 0,484. Artinya self-esteem dan empati bersama-sama memberikan pengaruh terhadap perilaku prososial sebesar 48,4%. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis pada penelitian ini diterima.

ABSTRACT:
This study aims to empirically examine the effect of self-esteem and empathy on students' prosocial behavior at MTs Fatahillah Semarang City. The subjects of this study consisted of 119 students of MTs Fatahillah. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique. This research instrument uses a prosocial behavior scale, self-esteem scale, and empathy scale. Analysis of research data using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study are 1) the variable self-esteem towards prosocial behavior has a significance value (<0.05) so that there is an effect of self-esteem on the prosocial behavior of students at MTs Fatahillah Semarang, 2) the variable empathy towards prosocial behavior has a significance value ( <0.05) so that there is an influence of empathy on the prosocial behavior of students at MTs Fatahillah Semarang City, 3) The variables Self-esteem and empathy for prosocial behavior have a significance value (<0.05) so that there is an effect of self-esteem and empathy on prosocial behavior students at MTs Fatahillah Semarang City. Adjusted R square effective contribution of 0.484. This means that self-esteem and empathy together have an influence on prosocial behavior by 48.4%. Therefore it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this study is accepted.
