Abstract

Academic burnout mengacu pada perasaan lelah secara emosional, fisik dan mental, sinisme dan penurunan pada efikasi diri terhadap pelajaran yang terjadi karena banyaknya tuntutan dan tugas akademik pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris hubungan self-efficacy dan kecerdasan emosional dengan academic burnout pada mahasiswa pengurus UKM Universitas (UKM-U) UIN Walisongo Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 213 mahasiswa pengurus UKM Universitas (UKM-U) UIN Walisongo Semarang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan non-probability sampling dengan jenis sampling purposive. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur skala self-efficacy, kecerdasan emosional dan academic burnout. Metode analisis data menggunakan uji pearson product moment. Hasil hipotesis pertama menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif antara self-efficacy dengan academic burnout sebesar -0,489. Hasil hipotesis kedua terdapat hubungan negatif antara kecerdasan emosional dengan academic burnout sebesar -0,399. Hasil hipotesis ketiga menunjukkan angka korelasi sebesar 0,501. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel self-efficacy dan kecerdasan emosional dengan academic burnout pada mahasiswa pengurus UKM Universitas (UKM-U) UIN Walisongo Semarang.

ABSTRACT:
Academic burnout refers to feelings of emotional, physical and mental exhaustion, cynicism and reduced professional efficacy that occur because of academic pressures and responsibilities on students. This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between self-efficacy and emotional intelligence with academic burnout in student managers of UKM University (UKM-U) UIN Walisongo Semarang. A quantitative approach using correlational analysis technique was used in this study. The samples used in this study were 213 students who managed the University UKM (UKM-U) UIN Walisongo Semarang. Sampling was done by non-probability sampling with purposive sampling type. This study used a scale measuring instrument of self-efficacy, emotional intelligence and academic burnout. Data analysis method used Pearson product moment test. The results of the first hypothesis show that there is a negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic burnout of -0.489. The results of the second hypothesis showed a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and academic burnout of -0.399. The results of the third hypothesis show a correlation coefficient of 0.501. It means that there is a significant relationship between the variables of self-efficacy and emotional intelligence with academic burnout in student managers of University UKM (UKM-U) UIN Walisongo Semarang.
