Abstract

Pondok Pesantren merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan berbasis Islam yang ada di Indonesia. Pondok pesantren memiliki peran yang sangat kuat dalam pembentukan dan penguatan karakter pada santri, karena santri berada di pondok selama 24 jam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penguatan karakter peduli lingkungan dengan diterapkannya program eco-pesantren pada santri pondok pesantren Fadhul Fadhlan Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Triangulasi sumber, waktu dan teknik digunakan untuk menguji validitas data. Teknik analisis data menggunakan: reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; 1) Proses penguatan karakter peduli lingkungan memerlukan beberapa tahapan, waktu, kesadaran, dan komitmen. Namun, dengan pendekatan yang berkelanjutan, individu dapat mengembangkan karakter peduli lingkungan yang kuat dan berkontribusi pada pelestarian lingkungan. 2) Hasil dari penerapan program eco-pesantren dapat menguatkan karakter peduli lingkungan santri baik dari segi pengetahuan, kesadaran dan sikap santri. Sehingga penelitian ini juga memberikan informasi bahwa pondok pesantren itu bisa bersih, rapi, nyaman dan tidak tertinggal. Dan mematahkan persepsi masyarakat tentang citra pondok pesantren yang identik dengan kata radikal, teroris, dan jorok.

ABSTRACT:
Pondok Pesantren is one of the Islamic-based educational institutions in Indonesia. Islamic boarding schools have a very strong role in forming and strengthening the character of students, because students are in the boarding school for 24 hours. This research aims to analyze the strengthening of the character of caring for the environment by implementing the eco-Islamic boarding school program for students at the Fadhul Fadhlan Islamic boarding school in Semarang. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection methods use interviews, observation and documentation methods. Triangulation of sources, time and techniques is used to test the validity of the data. Data analysis techniques use: data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The research results show; 1) The process of strengthening the character of caring for the environment requires several stages, time, awareness and commitment. However, with a sustainable approach, individuals can develop a strong environmentally caring character and contribute to environmental conservation. 2) The results of implementing the eco- Islamic boarding school program can strengthen the environmentally caring character of students both in terms of knowledge, awareness and attitudes of students. So this research also provides information that Islamic boarding schools can be clean, neat, comfortable and not left behind. And break the public's perception of the image of Islamic boarding schools which is synonymous with the words radical, terrorist and dirty.
