Abstract

Kajian terkait etos kerja di kalangan kaum santri merupakan kajian yang penting, terutama dalam hal perilaku hidup santri yang dibentuk pengetahuan keagaaman yang diperoleh selama di pesantren. Tak terkecuali dalam perilaku bisnisnya. Yogyakarta sebagai salah satu kota dengan populasi kaum terpelajar lebih tinggi memiliki magnet tersendiri bagi pelaku bisnis dalam mengembangkan usahanya. Studi ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab permasalahan: (1) Mengapa etos kerja Islam penting bagi pengusaha santri di lingkungan Himpunan Pengusaha santri (HIPSI) Yogyakarta?, (2) Bagaimana pengaruh pengetahuan keagamaan terhadap etos kerja pengusaha santri Yogyakarta?, (3) Bagaimana operasionalisasi etos kerja Islam dalam tata kelola bisnis pengusaha santri di Yogyakarta?. Permasalahan tersebut dibahas melalui studi sosiologis, sehingga diperoleh gambaran dan pemahaman mengenai etos kerja Islam pada kalangan pengusaha santri di lingkungan Himpunan Pengusaha Santri Yogyakarta. Data-data penelitian diperoleh dengan cara observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Semua data dianalisis dengan pendekatan sosiologis dan analisis deskriptif induktif dengan mengkonstruksikan antara data dan fakta.
Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Etos kerja Islam di kalangan pengusaha santri memiliki nilai penting sebagai media untuk membentuk mental positif bagi pelaku bisnis. Etos kerja Islam juga mendorong terciptanya pelaku bisnis yang kompeten di bidangnya. (2) pengetahuan keagamaan yang dimiliki pengusaha santri Yogyakarta memiliki pengaruh dalam membentuk etos kerja kaum santri di Yogyakarta. Pengetahuan keagamaan pengusaha santri diperoleh melalui dua model, yaitu melaui ajaran di pesantren, dan melalui interaksi antar pengusaha santri di HIPSI Yogyakarta (3) operasionalisasi etos kerja Islam dalam tata kelola bisnis pengusaha santri yogyakrata diwujudkan dalam beberapa cara seperti aturan kerja, SOP, tata ruang dan pembiasaan rutin di tempat kerja.
Saran yang dapat disampaikan dari hasil penelitian ini antara lain: (1). Model etos kerja Islam yang dilakukan oleh pengusaha santri di lingkungan HIPSI Yogyakarta sangat baik dan perlu dikembangkan di daerah lain sehingga semangat entrepreneur di kalangan santri bisa lebih berkembang. (2) HIPSI perlu lebih aktif masuk ke kalangan santri yang masih aktif di pesantren sehingga para santri selain menuntut ilmu agama juga memiliki keterampilan bisnis sebagai bekal ketika kembali ke masyarakat. dan (3) penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan dalam penelitian berikutnya yang lebih dikembangkan terutama berkaitan dengan etos bisnis di kalangan santri.

ABSTRACT:
Studies related to work ethic among students are important studies, especially in terms of the life behavior of students who are shaped by the religious knowledge gained while at the pesantren. No exception in his business behavior. Yogyakarta as one of the cities with a higher educated population has its own magnet for business people in developing their business. This study is intended to answer the following problems: (1) Why is the Islamic work ethic important for santri entrepreneurs in the Yogyakarta Student Entrepreneur Association (HIPSI) environment?, (2) How does religious knowledge affect the work ethic of Yogyakarta santri entrepreneurs?, (3) How is the operational ethos of Islamic work in the business management of santri entrepreneurs in Yogyakarta?. These problems were discussed through a sociological study, in order to obtain an overview and understanding of the Islamic work ethic among santri entrepreneurs in the Yogyakarta Santri Entrepreneurs Association. Research data obtained by means of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. All data were analyzed with a sociological approach and inductive descriptive analysis by constructing between data and facts.
This study shows that: (1) Islamic work ethic among santri entrepreneurs has an important value as a medium to form a positive mentality for business people. The Islamic work ethic also encourages the creation of competent business people in their fields. (2) religious knowledge possessed by Yogyakarta santri entrepreneurs has an influence in shaping the work ethic of the santri in Yogyakarta. The religious knowledge of santri entrepreneurs is obtained through two models, namely through teachings in Islamic boarding schools, and through interaction between santri entrepreneurs at HIPSI Yogyakarta (3) the operationalization of the Islamic work ethic in business governance of Yogyakarta santri entrepreneurs is manifested in several ways such as work rules, SOPs, spatial planning and routine habits in the workplace.
Suggestions that can be conveyed from the results of this study include: (1). The Islamic work ethic model carried out by santri entrepreneurs in the HIPSI Yogyakarta environment is very good and needs to be developed in other areas so that the entrepreneurial spirit among santri can develop more. (2) HIPSI needs to be more active in entering the students who are still active in the pesantren so that the students besides studying religion also have business skills as provisions when they return to society. and (3) this research can be used as a reference in future research which is more developed, especially with regard to business ethos among students.
