This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between self-esteem and body image among students at MTs Murtafa Kabupaten Oku Timur. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational analysis techniques. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between self-esteem and body image among students at MTs Murtafa Kabupaten Oku Timur. The sample size used in this study is 63 students, selected using a nonprobability sampling technique of saturated sampling with a population of 63 students. This study employs a body image scale developed by Mubarokah (2022) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RES) designed by Rosenberg (1965) as measurement instruments. The data analysis method uses the Pearson product-moment test with simple correlation types. The hypothesis results indicate a positive relationship between self-esteem and body image at 0.444 in the moderate category, with a significance value of 0.000. This means that the higher the self-esteem, the higher the body image, and conversely, the lower the self-esteem, the lower the body image. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between self-esteem and body image among students at MTs Murtafa Kabupaten Oku Timur.

ABSTRAK:
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris hubungan antara harga diri dengan citra tubuh pada siswa MTs Murtafa Kabupaten Oku Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis korelasional. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdapat hubungan antara harga diri dengan citra tubuh pada siswa MTs Murtafa Kabupaten Oku Timur. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 63 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik nonprobability sampling dengan jenis sampling jenuh dengan populasi sebesar 63 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur skala citra tubuh yang merujuk pada skala yang dikembangkan oleh Mubarokah (2022) dan skala harga diri yang merujuk pada alat ukur Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RES) yang dirancang oleh Rosenberg (1965). Metode analisis data menggunakan uji pearson product moment dengan jenis korelasi sederhana. Hasil hipotesis menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif antara harga diri dan citra tubuh sebesar 0,444 dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa semakin tinggi harga diri maka semakin tinggi citra tubuh dan sebaliknya semakin rendah harga diri semakin rendah citra tubuh. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang singnifikan antara harga diri dengan citra tubuh pada siswa MTs Murtafa Kabupaten Oku Timur.
