Abstract

This research aims to empirically test the influence of self-awareness and self-regulated learning on cyberloafing in 1 Comal State High School students. Cyberloafing is the behavior of using the internet that has been provided by an agency for personal interests that is not sustainable with learning or academics. The survey instrument used consisted of measurement scales for self-awareness, self-regulated learning, and cyberloafing. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression to test the research hypothesis. The research results show that self-awareness and self-regulated learning have an effect on cyberloafing 0.00 (p < 0.05). In particular, the results of the analysis show that self-awareness and self-regulated learning each have an influence of 19.6%, while other factors that were not studied account for 67.5% of cyberloafing. This research provides valuable insight for school management in developing strategies to reduce cyberloafing that occurs among students, including managing the use of information and communication technology in the school environment. Thus, this research contributes to the understanding of the factors that influence cyberloafing in the school environment.

ABSTRAK:
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh self awareness dan self regulated learning terhadap cyberloafing pada siswa-siswi SMA N 1 Comal. Cyberloafing ialah perilaku menggunakan internet yang telah disediakan oleh instansi untuk kepentingan pribadi yang tidak berkesinambungan dengan pembelajaran atau akademik. Instrumen survei yang digunakan terdiri dari skala pengukuran self awareness, self regulated learning, dan cyberloafing. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self awareness dan self regulated learning berpengaruh terhadap cyberloafing 0,00 (p < 0,05). Secara khusus, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa self awareness dan self regulated learning masing-masing keduanya memiliki pengaruh sebesar 19.6% sedangkan faktor lain yang tidak diteliti sebesar 67.5% terhadap cyberloafing. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi manajemen sekolah dalam mengembangkan strategi untuk mengurangi cyberloafing yang terjadi pada siswa, termasuk pengelolaan penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di lingkungan sekolah. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman tentang faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi cyberloafing di lingkup sekolah.
