Penelitian ini mengkaji komunikasi persuasif penyuluh agama Islam Kementerian Agama Kota Prabumulih pada Warga binaan wanita di Rumah Tahanan Kota Prabumulih. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan apakah komunikasi persuasif dapat mempengaruhi kesadaran beragama narapidana, serta untuk menilai komunikasi persuasif penyuluh agama Islam dalam meningkatkan kesadaran beragama para Wargabinaan. Komunikasi persuasif sebagai teknik menyampaikan pesan yang bertujuan untuk mengubah pemikiran, sikap, dan tindakan diharapkan bisa mengubah warga binaan yang kesadaran beragamanya masih rendah. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, studi ini menerapkan observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa para penyuluh menggunakan kombinasi teknik asosiasi, teknik integrasi, dan teknik imbalan dalam upaya komunikasi persuasif mereka. Dalam teknik imbalan, penyuluh agama banyak menggambarkan keuntungan dari pertaubatan yang dilakukan oleh pelaku kejahatan. Teknik asosiasi diterapkan lewat gaya bercerita. Teknik integrasi menumbuhkan rasa pengertian dan empati. Ketiga teknik menunjukkan efektivitas yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kesadaran beragama.

ABSTRACT:
This study examines the of persuasive communication by Islamic religious counselors from the Ministry of Religious Affairs office in Prabumulih city, specifically targeting female inmates at the Class II B Detention Center in Prabumulih city. The aim of this research is to determine whether persuasive communication can influence the religious awareness of inmates at the Class II B Detention Center in Prabumulih, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the Islamic religious counselors' persuasive communication in enhancing the religious awareness of the inmates. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative research method, the study employs observations, interviews, and questionnaires directed at both the Islamic religious counselors and the inmates. The findings reveal that the counselors use a combination of association techniques, integration techniques, and reward techniques in their persuasive communication efforts. The association technique is mainly implemented through storytelling, which helps to create relatable and engaging narratives. The integration technique involves the counselors making efforts to align themselves with the inmates' conditions, fostering a sense of understanding and empathy. The reward technique is characterized by providing motivation and highlighting the benefits of repentance and good behavior. These three techniques have demonstrated significant effectiveness in enhancing the religious awareness of the inmates, assessed through five dimensions: belief, ritual worship practices, appreciation, knowledge, and application. The study underscores the importance of these techniques in facilitating a positive transformation in the inmates' religious consciousness and behavior, contributing to their overall rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
