Abstract
Difabel di Indonesia masih menghadapi diskriminasi dan keterbatasan akses terhadap layanan dasar seperti pendidikan, kesehatan, dan pekerjaan. Data menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi pendidikan mereka sangat rendah. Pendampingan menjadi penting untuk membantu mereka mengembangkan potensi dan meningkatkan fungsi sosial. Salah satu bentuk pendampingan dilakukan oleh Majelis Pengajian Difabel (MPD) di Kota Semarang, komunitas berbasis Islam yang fokus pada akses beribadah dan pemberdayaan difabel. MPD melaksanakan kegiatan seperti pengajian bulanan, beasiswa, parenting, pembinaan ekonomi produktif, dan latihan dasar kepemimpinan inklusif. MPD bekerja sama dengan berbagai pihak untuk mendukung kegiatan pendampingan. Meski efektif meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat, MPD menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan dana dan pengurus. Pendekatan adaptif dan berkelanjutan diperlukan agar pendampingan berjalan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bentuk-bentuk, tantangan, dan dampak pendampingan yang dilakukan MPD terhadap difabel.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis lapangan serta pendekatan deskriptif. Jenis data yang digunakan peneliti terdapat dua, yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Penelitian ini menggunakan dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Teknik wawancara menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur. Teknik purposive dipilih dalam pemilihan informan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis data bersifat deduktif dimana terdapat tiga alur analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Selanjutnya, teori struktural fungsional oleh Talcott Parsons digunakan sebagai dasar penelitian ini.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Majelis Pengajian Difabel (MPD) telah mengembangkan program pendampingan komprehensif bagi difabel, mencakup pengajian bulanan, parenting, beasiswa, pembinaan ekonomi produktif, dan latihan dasar kepemimpinan inklusif. Program-program tersebut tidak hanya meningkatkan kapasitas individu difabel, tetapi juga mendorong terciptanya lingkungan sosial yang lebih inklusif. Tantangan dalam pelaksanaan pendampingan MPD yaitu keterbatasan sumber daya, keterbatasan dana, serta pengakomodasian keberagaman kebutuhan difabel. Dampak pendampingan terklasifikasikan dalam aspek keagamaan, sosial, dan ekonomi. Hal ini terlihat pada peningkatan pengetahuan keimanan, kepercayaan diri, akses keagamaan yang ramah difabel, peningkatan hubungan sosial dan solidaritas, pengurangan stigma diskriminasi, pemberdayaan diri, kemandirian ekonomi, serta meningkatnya kesejahteraan difabel.
ABSTRACT:
People with disabilities in Indonesia still face discrimination and limited access to basic services such as education, health and employment. Data shows that their educational participation is very low. Assistance is important to help them develop their potential and improve their social functioning. One form of mentoring is carried out by Majelis Pengajian Difabel (MPD) in Semarang City, an Islamic-based community that focuses on access to worship and empowerment of the disabled. MPD carries out activities such as monthly recitation, scholarships, parenting, productive economic coaching, and basic inclusive leadership training. MPD collaborates with various parties to support mentoring activities. Although effective in increasing community participation, MPD faces challenges such as limited funds and administrators. An adaptive and sustainable approach is needed for optimal mentoring. This study aims to examine the forms, challenges, and impacts of mentoring conducted by MPD for people with disabilities.
This research uses qualitative research methods with a field type and descriptive approach. There are two types of data used by researchers, namely primary data and secondary data. This research uses documentation, interviews, and observation as data collection methods. The interview technique used semi-structured interviews. The purposive technique was chosen in selecting informants. The data analysis technique used in this research is deductive data analysis where there are three data analysis flows, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Furthermore, the functional structural theory by Talcott Parsons is used as the basis of this research.
The results of this study show that Majelis Pengajian Difabel (MPD) has developed a comprehensive mentoring program for difables, including monthly recitation, parenting, scholarships, productive economic coaching, and basic inclusive leadership training. These programs not only increase the capacity of individuals with disabilities, but also encourage the creation of a more inclusive social environment. Challenges in the implementation of MPD assistance are limited resources, limited funds, and accommodating the diverse needs of people with disabilities. The impact of mentoring is classified into religious, social, and economic aspects. This can be seen in the increase in knowledge of faith, self-confidence, access to disability-friendly religion, improvement of social relations and solidarity, reduction of discrimination stigma, self-empowerment, economic independence, and increased disability welfare.
