Abstract
ABSTRACT:
In the context of an increasingly competitive capital market, understanding the factors that influence dividend policy is very important for investors and company management. The purpose of this study is to identify and examine the relationship between return on assets, current ratio, debt to equity ratio, and interest rates on dividend payout ratio. This study focuses on companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) for the 2021-2023 period.
The population of the study used was companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index for the 2021-2023 period. This study used a purposive sampling technique to select samples, with a total of 18 companies. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression at a significance level of 5%. Before the analysis, a classical assumption test, t-test, and coefficient of determination (R2) test were carried out.
The results of the study indicate that the return on assets variable has a significant positive effect on the dividend payout ratio. The current ratio, debt to equity ratio, and interest rates variables do not have a significant effect on the dividend payout ratio. The results of this study also obtained the results of the determination coefficient test of 24.6%, while the remaining 75.4% is explained by variables outside the study.
