This study aims to examine differences in the use of video dubbing as a learning media in improving the English speaking skills of 10th grade AKL (Accounting and Institutional Finance) students at SMK Islamic Center Baiturrahman. The research method used is a pre-experiment with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The sample consisted of 23 students who participated in three sessions of video dubbing treatment using clips from the animated film Big Hero 6. The data collection instrument was a speaking test that assessed fluency and accuracy. Data analysis used normality tests, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks tests (because the data were not normally distributed), t-tests, and effect size tests. The results showed an improvement in students' speaking skills after the treatment, with the average pre-test score of 32.07 (very poor category) increasing to 63.04 (fair category). The Wilcoxon statistical test yielded a significance value of <0.001, indicating a difference between the pre-test and post-test. The effect size (Cohen's d) of -1.873 indicates a very large impact from the use of the video dubbing. In addition to the increase in scores, students also reported an increase in self-confidence, motivation, and engagement in the speaking learning process. This study concludes that video dubbing is an effective learning media for improving students' English speaking skills, particularly in terms of fluency and pronunciation accuracy, and can reduce anxiety when speaking in public.
