Abstract

Society in this age has sank in the cyberspace. Cyberspace is the world which created by the development of technology and information. In the cyberspace, society was communicating about some actual issue, so it makes the public sphere able to appearing. The information was flowing swiftly in cyberspace, every person from other side of the world able to joint to discussing many problems all at once. The public sphere was creating in cyberspace not only helping netizens to getting the information, but also has been taking the reality. In cyberspace netizens is free to showing what they want, they able to creating their identity as they want. So, the ethic of netizens in cyberspace has test. In cyberspace netizens are free to share their opinion there is no prohibition inside. There is no norms inside, netizens are free to doing something and free to following what the community that they want. Public sphere in cyberspace to be the advertisement stage, inside the consumption is the prime motif and to be the activator the social reality, cultural, and politic. Now, the objects of consumption are the commodity to be a sign, image, and courtesy.
This research is library research and using the cultural studies analysis. The purpose of this study is to know the role of cultural studies read the ethic of public sphere for netizen. This study is the part of library research which the data is taken from some literatures. The type of this research is qualitative research and using descriptive analysis method whereas the approaches are cultural studies.
The result of this research about style of public sphere in cyberspace is the Public sphere in cyberspace is open to netizens from other side of the world who wants to joint inside. In cyberspace netizens permitted to falsify their identity, free to spread the information, feeling, or aspiration. In cyberspace some problem will lose if there is new information. The styles of cyberspace are liberty, equality, and fratemity. The social ethic of netizen directed to the ethic of pop culture. Netizens are consuming to seen better. There are no norms in cyberspace, inside the truth and the untruth cannot be discriminated. The ethic of netizens is directed to the ethic of pop cultural.
