Abstract

As the holy book, Qur'an is the most beautiful gift to mankind. From there, people can find the experience, meaning and lessons for life on earth. Al-Qur'an, which contains the stories of the previous race, saves a lot of virtues contained inside. There, there is the story of the Prophet, the chosen people, and so forth. However, most of us do not want to see other stories to be a lesson.
One of the stories are rarely raised in a study of the Qur'an is the story of Fir'aun. In fact, the figure of Fir'aun included figures that often mentioned in Qur'an. At least, the name of Fir'aun is mentioned 74 times. This is very surprising because of a lack of concern about it.
Therefore, writer interested in discussing the figure of Fir'aun who often discussed the destructive actions, among others; kill the boy, abandoned women, do dzalim, and many others. The problem is on what basis, the action was all done? What is behind all this?
In this research, writer used some verses related to story of Fir’aun in Qur’an, thematically. After fond theses verses, writer makes a specific view in order to make a different with others. And, it’s an attitude of Fir’aun.
The attitude became a topic that is not exhausted to talk. Leaders who can not keep their promises, moral decadence in all aspects of life is a phenomenon that did not escape our attention. In this case, writer made reference to that have explained that attitudes means action, behaviour, deed, measure, manner, view, premise, commitment, principle, decision
Based on verses related to attitudes of Fir’aun, There are two efforts should be observed. First, Fir'aun realized that discourse brought by Musa not to be fought with violence directly. The king of Egypt was trying to influence the Egyptian society through dialogue, either directly or indirectly. This is ideological approach. Second, besides using the dialogues that attack, Fir'aun also use repressive measures in the form of death threats against baby boy, displaced women, pit society, and others. This is actions approach.
