Abstract

Teachers are the spearhead of determining the success of education, therefore teachers must have four competencies in order to be able to carry out their main tasks and functions properly, one of which is pedagogic competence. However, from the results of the 2015 Teacher Competency Test, the average value of teacher pedagogic competence nationally was 48.94 even though the nationally targeted minimum competency standard (SKM) was an average of 55. the teacher's pedagogic competence exceeds the minimum competency standard value, namely the City of Semarang by 60.14. This study aims to analyze and explain (1) the effect of the perception of the madrasa principal's supervision on the pedagogical competence of teachers in the State Madrasah Aliyah in Semarang City, (2) the effect of training on the pedagogical competence of teachers in the State Madrasah Aliyah in Semarang City, (3) the effect of the perception of the supervision of the head of madrasah and training together on the pedagogical competence of teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Semarang City.
The research method used is a quantitative research method with verification analysis. Methods of data collection by using a questionnaire or questionnaire. Data analysis techniques include: data collection, data processing, data presentation and drawing conclusions.
From the results of data processing research obtained multiple regression equations, namely; Y = 64,03+ 0.15 (X1) + 0,685 (X2). With the results of the research on the regression coefficients, it can be concluded that the hypothesis Ha can be declared accepted and it can be seen that the Madrasah Principal Supervision (X1) and Training (X2) variables partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the Pedagogic Competence of Teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Semarang City. In the coefficient of determination, the value of
0.99 is obtained, meaning that the supervision variable for the head of the madrasa (X1) and the training variable (X2) together affects the teacher pedagogical competence variable (Y) by 99% while the remaining 1% is influenced by other factors.
