Apps like Google Translate are common tools to help students learn. One of the simplest and most accessible tools to help users with their translation needs is Google Translate. Many students now use Google Translate as their main source of translation thanks to its existence. This study aims to describe students' perceptions of using Google Translate in translating English materials. The method of this research was qualitative methods. The participants in this study were students seven-grade Bilingual class of Islamic Junior High School AL-AZHAR 29 BSB Semarang which consisted of 10 students. The instrument of data collection for this research were Interviews and documentation. The research finding indicates students easily use Google Translate on smartphones because smartphones are easier to carry around or replace book dictionaries. The result of this study is that all students know about google translate as a service to translate languages. Bilingual class students use Google Translate to translate and use it to learn pronunciation and additional vocabulary. This means that students know other functions of google translate. In the learning process, bilingual students in understanding English materials using google translate when they have difficulties.
